Default any one change their manual shift **** yet?

Has any one changed out their manual shift **** for an aftermarket one? Is the xf **** a twist off or is it held by a retainer? i wanted to change mine out only because i do not enjoy the feel of the xf's ****.

Check the tech forum for details... a few folks have changed them and posted about it. I believe they said it was a locking ring type...

It's been said that aftermarket ***** for the 2003 SLK320 will fit. There are quite a few site's on the net that sell SLK320 parts. And as AZ said, there's been quite a few posts in the past about replacement *****.

Any "Universal" fit Momo shift will fit the Crossfire... The adapters are included in the kit... The only pain is having to to some mods. for the BOOT if you want to change that as well...

It will take you about an hour or so.... Be sure to use the tightest rubber adapter that fits over the shift stem (tapping it down over the shift lever), and the longest allens (set screws)...

Tighten all three set screws like you would tighten the lugs on your car so the shift **** sits vertically and doesn't offset to one side or the other...

I really like the difference between the OEM and MOMO shifter... It conforms more to my hand. I offset the angle to be a bit more ergonomically correct to my wrist position while shifting...

Have fun and would like to see your pictures when you complete...
