Question Gasoline Requirements

I was looking thru my owners manual and noticed on pages 150 & 151 they talk about the gasoline requirements. They say if you live in the northeast your vehicle may have been designed to meet california low emission standards with cleaner burning gasoline reformulated with low sulfar and if such fuels are not available the car will operate satisfactorily but emission control system performance may be adversely affected. I do live in the northeast and have noticed under heavy acceleration I do get a sulfar smell. Can anyone tell me how I can find out which gasoline is low in sulfar so I can try a different brand. Iam using Sunoco with 91 Octane now. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have been using the Shell V-Power gasoline. I don't smell anything. Also buy it with your Mastercard and you may win one of the 35 Xfires they're giving away. What would I do with two?

Are you sure the smell is caused by the gasoline? Many new Crossfire owners have reported a smell when driving the car hard. The condition may be limited to Automatics or more common with Automatics. I also noticed the smell when my car was new. It wears off after a while. I suspect that it is due to manufacturing lubricants, coatings etc.
Just thought I'd mention it.
