Fred, you're going to have to be a little more specific.
Do you own an SRT, with a fixed spoiler, or do you have the standard spoiler that goes up and down?
The SRT has a known problem with the spoiler's base, but I don't think that's what you're talking about.
If the problem is with the standard spoiler. It can be easily removed by any body shop, repainted, and installed for a few $100. If your car is black, there should be no problem matching the paint. Stay as far away from the Chrysler dealer's as possible.

thanks +fireamx I thought that might be the answer. Bubbling paint along the bottom edge of the retractable spoiler in the crossie coupe (na ltd) indicates to me there is trouble within the structure of the spoiler board, operates like a charm, thinking replacement would be the best answer. very grateful for your input Fred

I knew there were potential rust problems with the base of the SRT6 fixed spoilers, but this is the first I heard of a problem with a moveable spoiler. If it was mine, I would not replace it. I would remove it and take it to a reputable paint shop for prepping and re-painting. It should not be more than a couple hundred. But if you can find a used, working spoiler for less that matches, why not. I had the left side of my SRT6 repainted for $1500 and the rear bumper on my roadster re-painted for $400. A grand for just the spoiler is insane. Heck, I had the black hood on my daughter's A4 repainted for $300.

Mine was bubbling as well. I bought a replacement on eBay for $100. I have seen at least 20 here on the sun coast of Florida that have the same issue. Seems to be a problem with paint adhesion onto the fiberglass since there is no hint of rust
