I started with a dead battery.
After charging it I had the same start 3 times and immediately fizzle out.
After reading this thread mention the key fob I had to punch myself.
I had replaced the cover on my fob but never tested it on the car figuring it was only replacing the plastic.
I'm a pretty good DIY guy so I don't think I screwed up the board in the fob.
But I must have.
I found the second key and tried it.
Car started immediately.
Right after that I tried the first key again and it worked.
But that was only because the second key was in the car.
Turned the car off and moved the second key 40-50 feet away
Yup, first key did not work.
Definitely a bad fob.
I done did it wrong. OOPS
No new SKREEM needed
THANKS to all of you on the forum for the information.
Much appreciated

Did you swap the little chip that lies close to the front of the fob as well as the circuit board? Without it there the car will not start. The fob will then only open the doors, The fob has two separate components, the chip that is needed to start the car and the circuit board that only opens the door remotely.
I suspect you did not put the chip into the new case, you are not to explicit on the details.

Yea, you need a new key now - almost same price as a SKREEM.

(You left the RFID chip in the old FOB, and you threw it away, didn't you? Sorry. )
