Very cool in my book, pretty lucky to have been around such cars in your life!

That's the problem with using acronyms. It's easy to assume that everyone knows what they mean. So if you want to limit what people understand you are saying, then use plenty of acronyms.

Hi,

I have had my 2005 coupe up to 142 indicated and it was tight to the road and was still pulling hard.
It is a 6 speed black el-cheap-o with cloth seats.
I have since changed wheels and tires to Mercedes 16 inch and replaced the front broken springs with lowering about 1 inch.
It now drives much better and has a softer ride, Plus sticks on the corners better.( feels more stable in a cross controlled slide.)
Love it and still am getting 26mpg.
Of course you have to love all the electrical problems, but it gives you something to do when not driving. haha

farthest I’ve take mine was just under 160. SRT tho. Also I sometimes wish I get 26 MPG I reset my trip odometer and filler her all the way up. When I was finally at just below E I was at 175 miles... that’s like 10-11 mpg!! Oh well I have fun in this thing.

I too am older than the average bear, but not yet at an age where speed puts me off ... I've driven mine to a speed slightly greater than 130 before running out of road to take it faster ... not to mention the fact that I was on a CA highway at night, so I was far beyond the ability to stop if something suddenly appeared in my headlights including a highway patrol car ... but, the car sat down solidly, I had zero sensation of lift which experience was very off-putting in other cars at speeds greater than 100mph and I had a LOT of pedal remaining under my right foot ... I'm confident that I could blow past that 145 and hit 160 or more ...

Yeah I’d say the biggest problem is how long it takes tho get to top speed. You run out of space quickly. The NA and the SRT will go pretty far. The SRT has 3.06 gear in the rear and the NA has 3.27. So the SRT has more top end available. The SRT needs less space to get to speed quickly. The NA will take way longer causing the distance needed to get to top speed way way bigger.
