Default Location of blower motor ??

My blower motor still won’t turn off. Happy to have battery negative cable removed until I troubleshoot.

can anyone help me with blower location ? Where is it buried ?

remove the panel under the passenger side dash ( 2 Phillips screws )
you will see two boxes with slider fasteners, towards the driver is the filter housing, the other is the fan cover.

You can use the attached PDF that covers accessing the blower motor resistor. After you swing the Blower Motor door down, the Blower Motor is attached with 3 star screws.

I went ahead & made a PDF file of the Blower Motor Removal & Installation from the Service Manual. Never know when I or another might need it.

Pulling fuse 34 or 36 (depends on body and year) will mean you don't need to yank the battery cable.

Thanks....I took it out and looked around for a visible culprit....unplugged and plugged wires back in. I’m not much of a electrical problem solver, finding obvious malfunctions and repairing/replacing is the best I can do. ill do some more tomorrow and then take to my car guy.

I did well in math until they started adding letters in with the numbers. Electronics is way past me.

im an Earth Science guy. Drumlins ard eskers I know cause I can see them.

If you took it out you can put a new one in, the problem could be the resistor that screws to th back of the fan..
You do not want to buy both if you can prevent it.

Yes, a few have said resistor and I should replace it.

Being somewhat stubborn and thinking it is a problem that began at a high speed car wash as told to me by previous owner....((the problem surfaced the next day after car wash, )).

ill replace the resistor tomorrow based on you guys, but you owe me a cold one if the root cause is water related.

Next day after car wash is probably because all the cowl drains are plugged with crap and the water overflowed into the fan
Common problem with Crossfires. You have to pull the wiper arms, then the cowl cover and clean out the three drains.

Four drains I believe.

We give you what it could be, without seeing it we are going by past experiences. We do not believe in throwing parts at a car until the problem is solved or not, we leave that to dealers etc.
Good Luck

I get that. I’m just hitting the ball back over the net.

if water indeed flooded the fan, would that Cause a short? Kill a resistor ?

Did you find signs of moisture in the passenger-side footwell? Dead give-away that cowl drain(s) are plugged.

Dry as a bone which sorta killed my theory, BUT I’m stubbornly holding out for evidence of that freaking high powered water boarding car wash screwing up something that caused this.

Those flopping tentacles of chamois, much like that buxom blond in Cool Hand Luke, loosened my wings emblem next to the spoiler.

UPDATE ..........To Blower Motor not shutting off

yesterday I took crossfire to my mechanic which was due for inspection.........And asked him ( because I don’t know how) to also test blower motor resistor which I had exposed.
He found it to be not working ......so we ordered Ultra Power RU 567 from RockAuto for $32!!!!!.............as an aside, when I opened up the cover for blower motor I found a fistful of pine needles and bits of dried leaves. Also inspected cabin air filter which had bits of dried leaves and a perfectly preserved little brown mouse on the engine side. Will take wipers off and clean 4 drain holes.

Additional note.....P0410 code shows Secondary Air Injection Pump not working. Mailed RCM to tighed1 with note

It is satisfying to encounter problems that end up with a happy ending, and i want to thank ALL OF YOU for comments and suggestions.
