Default Dashboard lights

I have a 2004 coupe, it’s been sitting for awhile. Recently put a new battery in and the car runs great. There are two lights on the dash that were not illuminated before, the low tire pressure light and esp/ bas. Check tire pressure and it’s ok. Not sure what to do about other. I’m interested in any feedback. Thanks.

You should be able to reset the BAS/ESP light by turning the wheel all the way to the right then all the way to the left then returning to center. The post I read earlier said the light will go away The next time you start the car.

This is a good thread on the TMPS sensors and the aftermarket sensors that are way cheaper and how to program them.
When you do the all the way left and right then center procedure make sure the car is in the on position and not running. Then turn off wait two minutes and then start the car and drive a bit what I have read this should clear the code.

Is your wing out? Will your cruise control engage?

I had mine running, it was easier to turn . It worked fine. Be sure to go as far to the left and right as it will go and back to center. Turn it off and wait a couple of minutes and restart.

Thanks for info, bas/esp light has gone out and has stayed off. Now for the tire sensor light.

Many just bypass the OEM TPMS system because it is so damn expensive to acquire the sensors and get them reset to the car. Search the site for the TPMS bypass, and just put short stubby stems in the wheels. An inexpensive tire pressure gauge checked once a week or so does fine and costs near to nothing at any auto parts retailer. Good luck!

A little piece of black electrical tape cut and stuck over that stupid TPMS light on the dash fixed it for me and isn't even noticeable. I'm old school and don't care to spend a pile of $ to have a car tell me when a tire is running low or is outside of 5 PSI from the others. I have eyes and can see but for those who want everything operating 100% I can respect that.
