Saying GoodBye to GTO Forum
Ironically I too was a GTO forum member. The GTO was on my short list at the time when the 04's were being discounted at around $25k. But, I am happy end-up with the Crossfire, based on style, handling and price ($25k). I think its more car for the money at $25k.
I was just curious, How much does it take to buy a GTO. Are they "dealing" on them at all? I mean, can you really buy a "left over" '05 for 25k or is it just a come on.
I have a friend who used to work at a Pontiac dealer up until a few months ago, and she told me that even though they were not selling all that well, they really weren't giving that much of a discount on them.

I always felt, how can they call it a GTO and not put "scoops" on the hood, real or not.
I've never considered owning one, but I was glad to see GM bring it back. It's kind of like seeing Detroit start the whole "Muscle Car" frenzy all over again. And that's something most of us who lived through the first one never thought we would see again.
As I've stated before in another post, there are practically as many high performance, and "special interest" cars being built now by the American auto makers as there were in 1970.
