On The Verandah is an excellent restaurant. We've eaten there on multiple occasions. it will be on your right just before you get to Highlands. Not far from Bridal Veill Falls. Parking can be limited, depending on crowd that day.

 

Yeah. If you want a cool waterfall picture, there is a much bigger, better one in my opinion right off the Skyway. Plan to hit that with Pizzaguy in route Thursday from GA.

 

I know, it is a bit eerie aint it. Tis the season with Halloween and Oct. and all I suppose.

 

Seem that Gatlinburg TN is having alot people in town that week most all motels are book,and one that are not well just say i;m not into bugs while i sleep ,anyway look like Susan and I will check into Fontana Tue of next week and stay until Sunday , This ok , Need some down time , So well be around if anybody coming early will be there

 

Joan and I (Howard) will probably arrive at Fontana Lodge about 1 to 2PM on the 4th, Thursday, and check-out Monday ........ See yas !

 

I will arrive with "WildBill" of the GenCoupes Thursday around 6-7pm; there is late-breaking hope that I can take Monday off as well, if so, I'll stay until Monday about 3pm!!!

YOU GUYS SHOULD HAVE JUST CAME TO OUR CABIN WE HAVE THE ROOM FOR YOU. I am not sure if I am coming or not ,my little kizzymae(dog) she is 15 and is in renel kindey failure They gave her weeks or a few months,we got pass the weeks and she seems to be doing ok allen will be there for sure..But remember the spring when I left my poodle amd he passed away ? Yous were such a big help and suport to me,Love you guys!And I hope i can come.

Sadly, the Thursday forecast (which changes day by day) shows 80% chance of rain, Bill.

But (again, at this time) Friday and Saturday show 0% chance of rain.

A few days ago, it was 40-60% rain all three days...

 

I;m so sorry Joann , I hope that in some way that your kizzymae get better , we lost are littlle dog this last april she was also 15 yrs old( Peanut ,) , We send hugs ans kiss your way , and will send a few prays for Kizzmay ,

 

Is it sad that I looked at the future weather report and was disappointed when I saw there was only a 10 and 20% chance for rain in Fontana next Friday and Saturday?

 

Found out what was going in Gatlinburg next week and weekend it called corvette fest , that with few other things going on in the city is pack full .The Vettes are at Park vista hotel they have book all there rooms 190 plus what every other motels they may be staying in , and look be running the Dragon few days also ,

 

Certainly a beautiful waterfall. But you can't drive & park under that one! You can at Bridal Veil! Makes for a great picture.

888 miles / 15+ hours from Key Largo FL to Fontana Village Resort. We are trailering our SRT6 up. Our plan is to arrive at Fontana Village Resort on Thursday around 4:00 PM. Staying until check out time Monday morning. Looking forward to meeting you and Joan . . . see you there!

ok so as usual time got away from me and between work wrenching on cars racing and life i didnt make reservations in time. if anyone has a spare bed in their room i would gladly pay for the room for sat nite. if not ill stay in maryville fri nite and hang with the crowd sat then head home. let me know!
