Looking over the list I think we may have about 20+ new members attending out of the 69 currently on the list.
We will have 2 designated group leaders who have volunteered to take 2 groups of all newbies on the daily runs.
As first time drivers at this GTG we will run these groups at a reasonable pace to ensure everyone has fun but drives safely.
Of course you are not required to run in a newbie group but just wanted to provide the option for those who are coming for the first time.
Jonathon (pacemaker) will also lead a group known as the "tourist Class" which is perfect for newbies who don't want to run fast but rather run easy and enjoy the scenery.

Speak for yourself - I have eight work days and I'm off to Fontana ! My two week mark was last Wednesday.

So it'll be a "NOOB RICH" Dragon, and Nick is taking it easy, Boiler won't be there, Franc may not be there .... hell, no reason for LEOs to even work that weekend!

 

I have 6 more work days till I leave Sarasota for my first Dragon.

LOL, the LEOs out in Vegas have already been alerted, as we have to attend a wedding out there around the same time. Believe me, we are both going to miss the Dragon, I haven't been to a large fall event since I left the last XF in the mountains...

To all the new people coming this year you might want to bring food/drinks with you to the lodge. There isn't really a close meglomart anywhere near the lodge and at night it can be tricky to see. Just a heads up though see you all soon.

 

Well, it's official, Franc just posted to my visitor messages here that he won't be attending the fall Dragon.

Wow.. at first I thought this was the your newest adventure when she found out you have a dragon date already lined up...

 

Franc, say it isn't so......I am actually prying myself away, even though I have already shortened my stay lol...I hate being dedicated... It must be important for you to miss this trip and not be driving the XF's more....work and dedication.... don't see much of that anymore...hang in there my friend....

 

Late entry, just got the 4th and 5th off. Have to make reservations and do a bunch of other fun to get the car ready. Will be bringing the girlfriend along, if she can get a hang of the stick maybe she will join in with the newb crowd on Sunday before heading back home. Can't wait!

Need someone to follow up on this for our group, Charity at Deals Gap wants to know how many in our group and also in the Genesis group. Can someone here email her an estimate headcount? I can not as I'm leaving for the Dragon tomorrow then onto Charlotte. I won't be back in time to tend to this nor will I be able to while I'm traveling.

On another note, the GenCoupes will be on Channel 8 - no sub code. As for me, I'll be running Channel 8 on any run I do - just because, this way, we can help one another by passing on notice of what lies behind us (and therefore, what lies ahead of them) as we pass on the road.

I should have 3 radios with me - this way, I can make 100% sure that, at least, the last car in any run I lead has a radio, I have a radio, and I have a spare.

Just my two cents on the matter...
