Doc, I hear ya. The rain started last nite here just as I dropped the last skykite into it's caulked hole.. Whew! That was close.

Yea, same here. But again, I aint' spending this Dragon in a hospital bed, so I'm good.

 

Sounds like we'll never know by looking what car got six coats of wax and armor all and what car got washed.. LOL.. Rain Friday is going to equalize them all..

 

Pack all the stuff to fix that , LOL , my get up early sat make run into Robinville Car Wash at the end of the strip , Cheap , second thought may have big hang over Sat. Morning , never mind LOL !!!!!!

 

looks like i have to work sat and won't be able to make it to fontana. doc holliday please raise a toast for me and have a drink in honor of my good friend jim. i think of him often and miss him dearly. rarely do you find a person of such character and kindness. everyone be safe watch the weather and oncoming traffic. for the new folks please don't try to drive outside your comfort level. these roads are amazing but they do BITE!

 

Sorry, Steve....I'm stuck in MI......had to wait on boxes that were being made, and their machine broke down.....sucks to be me, and the rain is coming....Already called Fontana and the company is picking up my lost money..... I can't justify going for one day..... The only time off I have had with these guys is when I was recovering from shoulder surgery....they love to keep me out on the road....but, they always apologize and kick in a bonus..... I have their number now. I will take the whole week off next time. I can't win on these get a ways.... Maybe when I retire LOL... Be careful everyone. I am watching the news up here near Battle Creek MI and these storms are pretty bad and headed your way maybe. They may skirt by you, but those coming from the west are going to get wet.

Finally got home a little while ago, and I hope everyone made it in....rained on me all the way down out of Michigan. Talked to Steve 32krazy and he was getting soaked in GA....so this rain must have went for a long way.... Have fun, and hopefully we will meet you all in Arkansas. I will be taking that whole week off, so no getting stuck out again. I can't do spring dragons as that is our busiest trucking time..... have fun, I am waiting for photos....

 

Doc, how many time you gonna retire? just want to prepare myself for early 2017.

 

I'm greedy, Larry. They keep flashing more money in my face to stay. LOL. I thought I was slowing down when I took this particular position, but it has blown up into no less than 60 hrs a week. And, the occasional stuck out over night. My goal is at least another 6 yrs. But there are days......lol

 

It dried out by Friday afternoon to make a semi-decent run through the Dragon.

 

Good deal. Wet leaves and cold pavement kind of spoils the fun down there...

 

Folks be careful with the cooler temperatures that arrived for this weekend event. Roadways will be wet and some borderline frost warnings are in the area.

Just arrived home before the rain. Great trip! Good to see old friends, was able to meet a bunch of new ones. A small group of us made it to the falls. I hope to see all in the future again! James
