Today I received an quality survey email from QI headquarters regarding our stay. I will report this dissatisfaction in my response. I am also going to write the ES QI manager and let them know the same. Hopefully the manager will set up a program for someone to return the jewelry anonymously. I encourage others here to do the same.
Perhaps Greg (or whoever) could speak for the group and inform them that this means we will not return to their hotel.

Looking to see if I was sent any survey, don't see one so far....

Mine arrived at 3:06 this afternoon. The hotel for CAA5 was also at a QI (with no issues and terrific staff!). I think I got in their email system at CAA5.

On a side note, when we returned to our room late afternoon Monday, our room cleaning had not been completed...pillows were on a table next to the bed, trash had not been taken out and we were almost out of toilet paper. I told her 'I'm sure they are very busy with all the rooms to clean so they forgot a few things'. Brenda still had all her stuff in her suitcase. She's VERY astute as to how she organizes things. After we learned about Terry's situation, she tells me that items in her suitcase were moved around and not how she organized them. Since nothing was missing (that she knew of), she didn't think it was an issue at the time. We now wonder if HK could have left our room in a hurry and didn't finish cleaning because they were looking though our things and got scared off?

I have no doubts in Terry's claim. I'm really just waiting to see what the detectives might uncover. I never noticed any security camera's on the grounds but hoping there are some. Sherri actually packs along her high end diamond rings rather than leaving them at home - and they were fine. Along with my gopro etc.

I guess at this point "ensuring" a back ground check on any hotel employees would be a wise question for any future host hotels.

We had the two younger guys that did our cleaning.. and the only "thing" was a bottle of cleaner had been left at the sink. Nothing looked out of place or gone through at all.

I'm really hoping thoughts of a potential return by our group will be motivation for complete cooperation by the hotel management in a resolution by them.

After leaving CAA on Friday I went to Bentonville, Arkansas and visited with a friend I have not seen for many years.
I left there on Saturday morning and arrived home safely on Saturday night.
Here is a link below to the gallery of pics I have from the past week at CAA6
It was a wonderful time

Comfort Inn and Quality Inn are both part of the same Corporate chain. "Choice Hotels"

That might be the place to lodge a boycott for our group over this as they "set the standards" for them.

Jim and Marilyn arrived home safely on Sunday noon. Big thanks to Greg and Sherri for a great event. Some good drives and good times. Also thanks to all the folks who organized and led the drives. Also for the pictures posted. Always nice to see old friends and meet new ones who drive Crossfires.

Many thanks to Robert Maier and Greg Pylant when I had some trouble at CAA # 6 (see photos) Robert took time away from doing the Wednesday morning run and drove me and my rear wheel to the tire shop to get a new tire. Greg had the rear tire off his spare Roadster before I even had a chance to get back to my car. This is a great group of people that help you no matter what with no questions asked. Thanks Robert and Greg.

Sherri prefers driving together.. I wanted to get some wheel time on mine.. so bringing it was a great excuse exactly for your situation.. Thanks for proving my point with Sherri.. LOL.

I'm sill very surprised you were able to get it resolved so quickly with a tire store!

Rob and Greg are the best. Our meets are so much better with them attending. I cannot recall any gatherings they attended where their help wasn't employed.

Great guys and a credit to our membership.

I keep saying it - I don't think the people in other car groups are as good as ours.

It's called "Crossfire Family" for a very good reason!

Robert could probably do circles around me.. but I'll definitely pitch in where I can..

Thanks Valk...you beat me to it...

I feel like such an idiot, I hid it from myself trying not to let DC find it first....

As to RedDog, the ESPD called me after the interviews and said no luck, that's when I tore my workroom apart and found it in another envelope...
