Can someone give me more info on the radio we are suppose to have? We need to get one but we are not very techie so we are not sure what to look for on Amazon/eBay/where ever ?

You can buy cheap junk at Walmart - any "FRS Radio" will almost work. The Midland radio I posted about in post 5 in this thread is about the best thing to get at this point, as I can't get more surplus Kenwoods right now - but I MIGHT be able to get more before the Fall Event.

DO NOT buy anything on eBay or Amazon without messaging me here first, some, well, a lot of that stuff is not FCC accepted and is on frequencies that we don't have/use and are illegal anyway. Anything you buy at Walmart that says "FRS Radio" is compatible, cheap and crappy, but compatible, and legal. But at this point, the Midland is the best thing going, unless I can turn up more used Kenwoods for a low price - which may happen.

With the Dragon so far off, I'd hold still till we see what I can come up with.

I gotta ask: Did you get a room at Fontana Lodge? Because I talked to the lodge today, and there supposedly are none available.

 

Ok, there is ONE room open at the Lodge, it's in a Garden unit. I just talked to the lodge and they had two rooms open, Jiggydogo (added you to the list) got one and there is one left.

For now. Not sure for how long. Deposit is $92 to hold it till October.

Please add us to the list of attendees. We bought our 2005 SRT 6 Roadster a couple of months ago, and look forward to being involved with the group.
We did the Dragon last year with the Prowler Group. We were able to make a reservation for a cabin yesterday.We will arrive Thursday Eve. and stay till Sunday afternoon.
If any other Crossfires are coming from the Nashville area, maybe we can cruise together.
