What do you know about that...
I was under the dash checking out my iPod interface which was making noise and found it was soaking wet. Apparently there is a leak somewhere under the dash. I think the guy who replace the windshield didn't do a very good job...
Well, anyways, while I was under there I pulled the cover on the cabin air filter, which the base roadster wasn't supposed to have installed, and what do you know - there was filter in there - pretty dirty and loaded with dead leaves... hm-m-m... got a new one and it popped right in.

Where exactly were you? I have a base roadster as well and did not see anything obvious, that I could pull on. The passenger side has a cover leaving nothing exposed and requires a phillips. Drivers side hemmed up as well???
Two philips screws hold a rubbery platform behind the glove compartment. When you drop that you expose the air filter housing. Do a search on this forum, I think someone once did a swap with pictures, at least they described it. It took five minutes - real easy!

Thanks. I'll do that. I pulled the iPod adapter - let it dry out and hit it with some tuner cleaner. I reinstalled it the next day and it worked great!
Haven't had time to check the leak...
