Chrysler to Replace '05 Convertible Tops Under TSB - YAHOO!!
The TSB has been revised? Since when? I probably still wouldn't be able to get mine done because of the mileage...
I have an 2006 limited convertable and the rear window has been reglued once. i took it to a chrysler dealer here in florida and he said there is no reason it wouldnt be covered ,but, he had to get approval etc.------So i am waiting! WHY NOT the 2006???????? apparently the issue was not corrected for 06----A BAD DESIGN!!! anyone else out there with 2006 with the window falling out????
Had dealrer run a warranty check on my VIN - 2005 convertible and it showed at the bottom a 100k 10years warrantee on back window adhesion.

I live in the Syracuse NY area and am wondering if anyone has used one of the local Chrysler dealers to replace their top. We have four in the area and being a new XF and Chrysler owner I have no experience with any of them. I'm wondering which ones are easy to work with and what the quality of their work is like. Any guidance would be appreciated.
I'm a battle with mine currently. Since my roadster was originally delivered to New Jersey they automatically disqualified the car. The roadster spent 6 1/2 years in Texas and has a temporary glue job from the previous owner (looks similar to a kindergartner playing with paste and construction paper). Since my window is temporarily holding, my closest Chrysler dealership (run by Dealing Dic k who has been using the same lame "theme song" since 1980) won't even acknowledge there is a problem. My fight continues on with Chrysler corp.

I'm not having any luck with chrysler either. They are telling me only select states get the new top. I purchased my car in Philadelphia in 2006 and it's been in Louisiana ever since. the glass blew out in 2010 made a complaint in 2008 and was turned down then. I've had the car in storage until last month and brought the car to the dealership today to verify the TSB Rev. A they couldn't find anything.
Now I'm on the phone 800-992-1997 with Chrysler and they cannot confirm the TSB 23-035-11 Rev A. then they were nice enough to tell me the internet is not always truthful.
This is exhausting and I'm about to give up! I even gave them information from a forum member in Westbury New York that
was kind enoughto send me a copy of his invoice. They said it's private information and refused to look at it.
time keeps on ticking.....

My experience was actually very good, one call to to Chrysler, they set up an account for me and told me to contact a local crossfire certified dealer and they would take care of me.
I found a certified crossfire dealer and it was done! They asked to see the car to verify the roof/window problem, ordered the new top and within a short time I had the top on!
Sorry it hasn't worked out for some of you!

Were you able to get your top issue resolved? I've been turned down twice.
Looks Like I might purchase a top and do it on my own.
To bad my 2003 H.D. Ram 2500 4x4 diesel quad cab will now be replaced with anything other than a Ram. Looks like they are going to be losing out on allot of customers, eventually everyone purchases new cars...

Nope, not even with them recognizing the TSBs and a letter to the CEO of Chrysler...I am not done...I may go the 'safety' route through the NHSTA...
Its been stated before that everyone who has a roadster who's back window has failed , failed and reqlued, or looks like it's going to fail to file a report with the NHSTA. They will not issue a mandatory recall unless they get a sufficient number of complaints from all Crossfire roadster owners regardless of what year the vehicle was built. A rear window letting loose at highway speeds has the potential to inflict great harm to others (pedestrians, motorcyclist, etc). All should be recalled as a safety issue. Period!
I encourage everyone to take a couple of minutes and fill a complaint with NHSTA if you have not done so already.
Thanks

I did the BBB and NHSTA (safecar.gov) already.
I was on I-10 around 75-80 mph when the rear glass blew out in 2010. Fortunately nobody behind me was injured.
Chrysler said "it's not covered because you had the glass repaired (re-glued), how can this be our fault", while totally failing to recognize why I had the glass re-glued in the first place, Unfortunately I could not find a srt-6 roadster in Louisiana or neighboring states and I found my SSB (color of choice) srt-6 in Philly. I flew up and drove it home. It was preregistered and insured in Louisiana before I picked it up in 2006.
The first time I complained was before re-gluing the glass in late 2008 or early 2009 and they wouldn't help me then. The car has been driven maybe a dozen times in the last four years and has around 35000 miles on it.

Chrysler gave me the same line of BS. My rear window is reglued. It is tempting to help it come loose again...
Hey the top look good. But they Still have the car. They keep breaking the wire to the top. Hell I hope they get it fixed today. Just want the Xfire back at home.....
Are there any magic words you said, other than I will kill you, to get Chrysler to replace the top and glass? Just bought a 2005 Crossfire with 45k miles on it. The glass began giving way shortly thereafter. The dealership hear said they never saw one or heard of any. So did customer service at Chrysler. What is the matter with these people.. Does someone need to get killed before they take action. There has to be a lot of cars involved.
Just mention to the dealer-owner how cute his kids are when his wife takes them to the park to play around 1:00... No threats needed..
