Chrysler to Replace '05 Convertible Tops Under TSB - YAHOO!!
Just got back from the dealer. The glass had actually separated even more in a week since I first noticed it.Anyway they did the inspection and ordered a new top for me while I was still standing there.Said it will be here in 3 days. Now I just hope they have a tech that can install it the right way
Update to my top situation...
Took it to a second dealership on Thursday last week to have inspection done a second time and was contacted on both Friday and Monday by Chrysler Care case mgr. to be told he hasn't been able to talk with anyone from the dealership. He finally spoke to them Tuesday and he had to talk with his supervisor about coming up with a resolution. He called back today with a price of $300 for the replacement top + labor. The warranty cost he originally quoted was over $1500.
I'm still not happy about a 2 1/2 week time just for a resolution and an out of pocket cost, but I guess it is better than having to pay the entire bill. I also wanted to note that the case manager that I dealt with was very professional and he called every day to give me an update on the entire process. Glad to be done with it.

Just got my car back from the dealer today after the install.Must say they did a fantastic job replacing the top.I was kinda worried how it would turn out but it looks great
Hi, I just dropped my 05 off for inspection today. I am assuming, if they do the right thing, they will replace the top. I've heard tell of some 2006 and 2007 with the problem that they have repaired. You have to keep on them. I was turned down by their robots at least 3 times. As a matter of fact, the same day they told me to take the car to the dealer they had sent me a turndown earlier in the day/ There is no rhyme or reason why they are not addressing a serious problem that is ultimately going to end up at their doorstep. I have helped another person with your situation and sent her all my e mails to Chrysler. I am a lawyer but have not practiced but I think some of thee hot buttons I pushed with them might have gotten the deal done. I would be happy to help you, but you need to show me some kind of proof you are a crossfire owner. I know there are trolls in here. Send me your e mail address if you want the package. Also, feel secure in the fact that your glass will make the circuit and be come detached all the way round
No you don't.
We are the fourth owner of our car...Chrysler said that they would not help us...but we also were about 3K miles over the warranty...
Called the Chrysler customer service number today concerning my 05 roadster. I noticed the back left corner is detaching from the top. I was told that there were no recalls for it even though I have seen a number of 05' owners on the forum that have had success getting Chrysler to replace it. Mine has 36,000 miles and is in great condition BESiDES the one major issue
Any help from the members here would be great. Should I just take it to the local dealership and see what they say?

Still getting the runaround. Most recent email from Chrysler's so called "customer assistance". I mentioned the TSB and the x31 warranty in the email. Im taking it to the local dealership to see what they can do.

Hi all,
I have Amy's Crossfire at the dealership now and they are taking care of everything. BUT, they just called and said there is a wrench they need to take the top off. Any idea what they need? If someone out there had it done, can you give me the number of the dealership so I can find out what wrench they used? Or they can call my dealership.
Thanks for the help! Without this site, I'd be paying for it from my pocket.

Thanks Ala, I think I'm going to take a drive down and see whats up. The kit has never been out of the trunk, I think we were the first ones to open the storage area. Even the dealer didn't know it was there.

For those in the north central MD area or south PA or DE, Cooks Automotive will gladly do your top if you fall within the warranty. They did a great job on Amy's Crossfire. Call Shawn or Mo at 410-272-1500. They also have a certified Crossfire tech on site. Don't forget to bring your multi-tool, or hit me up and you can borrow mine.
I've not been able to ascertain the initial delivery location... however I suspect it was Delaware or Maryland. We were told by the Chrysler DARCARS dealer in Rockville, MD, that we were the second owners and that the previous owner was from Delaware.
Oh and I almost forgot...where is this hidden storage compartment that may contain the multi-wrench?
