Default Oil

I have been searching this site for the past 2 hours looking for the correct oil to use in our 2005 Crossfire Limited. I did find & printed Specifications 229.3 & 229.5. Is there anything else on the site pertaining to the correct oil?

Yes, I am a newbie! We just bought our '05 Crossfire & are proud of her. She's a trip to drive.

Simple, Mobil1 0-40 is the manufacturer recommended.
You will need 8 quarts of it and a Mann fleece filter.
Some Wally-Worlds have it in 5 quart jugs for $24.95, also most NAPA, Autozone, O'Reilly's and Advance stock it.

Yea, don't be buying those damn paper filters, get a FLEECE filter.

ANY oil on the 229.3 or .5 lists is fine, but the easiest to find and most universally recommended is Mobile 1 0W40.

GBono - I would suggest you go to Chrysler.com and download the Crossfire owner's manual, it is a free download. I downloaded to my desktop. All of that type of info is in the owner's manual.

Do not bother with the Chrysler site, all the manuals for the Crossfire are here on this forum.
Go here (click), download and save to your computer.

180, this :
A man came to my door and asked if I would like to make a donation to the towns new swimming pool, so I gave him a bottle of water.
should be :
A man came to my door and asked if I would like to make a donation to the town's new swimming pool, so I peed in a bottle and gave it to him.
