Acceleration Problem-05 SE Convertible
Acceleration Problem-05 SE Convertible
Good Day to you all!
Had an unusual problem this week on my 142k 05 convertible....was in the median turn lane and car died..car restarted fine but a bit sluggish never happened before.
Got oil changed and it was overdue....got a fresh tank of gas too. Air filter changed and added a Lucas gas treatment for good measure. Car running as usual now..but still seem a bit sluggish. Maybe MAF? Fuel filter? Just trying to be proactive on my girl...
CPS and CMS changed a few years ago.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Kim

Re: Acceleration Problem-05 SE Convertible
What is the CMS?
My first guess would be MAF as well, but from what Iv'e observed, the MAF will usually set a code and give you an Check Engine light.
For the fuel filter to be so 'dirty' that the fuel pressure drops? I doubt that. Of course, the filter is also the regulator, so..............
Other than that, wIth those miles, I question the condition of plugs and plug wires.
