If you want whine…
Needswings or C3P

Would anyone have a pic of the SL55 intake handy? I tried to do a google image search for it, and came up with nothing useful. I just want to satisfy my curiosity and figure out what the main differences are between the SL55 intake and the stock intake. TIA.
Re: Supercharger on the SRT-6
Since the needswings is the only true fresh air intake outside of the engine bay, in theory I believe your hp will increase in actual outside conditions. An even greater increase with cold air entering into the filter as you accelerate. That's why it whines when you see them in the vids making wide open throttle runs. It's the air being sucked in from the front of the grill. If you sit in your drive way and rev the rpms, it won't be as evident as driving down the road. Your throttle body can only suck in so much air, at which point it doesn't matter if you have 4 pipes going in. Now someone should try extending one all the way out front and the other in the engine bay and get some results.

The SL55 intake, like the factory intake, draws in air from outside the engine compartment. - I also like the fact that the air filters are not exposed to bugs, road grime and water. There is also the option of using K&N filters.
All of the after-market intakes do a great job. All you really need to do is remove the restrictions designed into the factory setup. (radiator support and y-pipe) Perhaps this is how Chrysler was able to "scale down" the HP rating to 330HP? when you look at MB pictures - these restrictions (other then the Y-pipe) are not there.
I figured if the SL55 intake makes the HP for the V8 AMG supercharged motor - it will provide the HP on the V6 AMG motor.
Re: Supercharger on the SRT-6
so do you think the ultimate intake would be taking those rubber tubes off the needswings intake and putting one on each side of the bdj and taking the curve pipe in the front and moving the bdj to the front where the needswings is. it would be a mirrored needswings cai.
