Default 20% Off Code3 Products

I saw this over on the MB site.

Puts the SC pulley @ $520 plus there's free shipping.

If I wasn't moving out I'd hop on this but I can't go spending money like I used to

Still more than I'd be willing to pay.

I noticed on the website it still states "Not recommended for users with a larger crank pulley". This still holds true I take it??

It is super easy to install, it takes literally 10 minutes max to do it.

yep, unless you're me Don't ask.......

After 4 hours, 2 trips to the parts store, a broken strap wrench and drilling out broken bolts, I think it will hold together.... If not I'll be buying a $1,061.89 SuperChager "Repair Kit"and whatever else it destroys when it grenades at 6,000 RPM.

I can tell you right now that RENNtech won't touch your car with a code 3 S/C pulley on it. And I can also tell you their shop rate is $125 an hour. But if you take them your car (stock) and let them put in a kit like mine and tune it on the dyno, I don't think you could get any better, that is if you are willing to shell out the $$. They didn't tune my ECU on the dyno, it was an "out of the box tune". I wish I were close to them, because I would really like to have mine tuned on the dyno.

I run the code3 pulley and inmotion custom tune, much cheaper and just as good if not better performance.

I hate to disagree with you, but here is a slip with the guy on the left running a code 3 pulley, code 3 HE and an Inmotion tune plus a custom intake. I'm the guy on the right with a RENNtech 178 pulley, stock HE, SL55"Y" and an "out of the box RENNtech ECU tune".

No problem at all disagreeing with me

If I recall correctly, Eric was having transmission issues that day. He has ran times in the low 12's with his setup. Regardless, everyone will always brag about their particular setup, that is what tuning cars is all about lol.

You both ran some great times and for example on tunes, I trapped nearly 87mph at a 1/8 mile track with only a intake and inmotion tune (86.55mph). That is faster than you both trapped in your timeslip and that was without my code3 pulley. However, with temperatures, altitude and humidity who knows what I would have trapped at your track that day or you at mine the same day. That is what racing is all about and what makes it fun though.

This is one run though. You can't base it off just one run. Your mph's are fairly close which is a big indicator in how your car is performing. He had a 2.11 60?! That is way off! Either he spun really bad, or like Mrphotoman said, he was having trans problems. Regardless, I bet he would have been closer to you with a good launch and setup. I don't think he would have won, but I bet he would have been a car length from you at the finish if you were both equal on the tree.

Personally, I'd buy the RENNtech hardware (Pulley set), do the install my self then take them the car to do a custom tune. Nothing against LET or any of the other smaller companies, but RENNtech has been tuning AMG products since 1986. But you have to pay for the name.

I didn't know and he didn't say he was having tranny problems, I knew he seemed to be having trouble getting his meth injection system adjusted.

Eric is a great guy, we ran several runs together and we were almost side by side on most of them. I did have a little advantage with the Hoosier DR's, most of my 60's were 1.8's and a few 1.7's .
