Yeah, the regulator is smarter than a Fift Greader. Add pressure and the fuel pressure regulator output goes up. Why is idle showing 50psig??
The idle is seeing about 20 inches of vacuum or -10 PSIG at the regulator sense port so you drop to 50 psig fuel pressure. Whats that negative thinggy about?
There is no problem as the ECU controls the a/f at idle and it can and does correct for the reduced pressure. Wait the pressure is not less, 50psig and a -10 PSIG vacuum still give you a difference across the injector of 60 psig.
Nuff said. How do it know?????

Woody, would there be any benefit to adding a one way check valve in the boost circuit? Thus eliminating any vacuum being seen? Thinking not since the added fuel pressure isn't needed at vacuum conditions.
It could be added, its a non issue and treatment of that issue can go either way w/o problem. Sorta if it aint broke dont .......

Typically about 14, same with or without the boost line hook up at Idle. See the D/L chart on the next post, Three wishes...
I have to try and do some more research to control the boost line to the fuel regulator. Iam looking at using a 02 sensor to drive the fuel pressure via the boost line signal. This would close the loop, allowing the fuel to be controlled AT WOT by the F/A signal, sota a goal at this point. Ill keep you posted, testing needed.

Side not real quick. The large canister is actually the fuel filter, which I knew. But what I didnt know is the on-demand regulator is part of the filter. I actually spoke with one of the Mercedes-Benz field technicians about it today while he was in the dealership doing a Tech Training on the new GLK.

Your o2 sensor idea seems good, but how about simply running a manual boost controller?
Iam in the process to see if I cant get the data logger to output the f/a signal, Then I can control the fuel rail pressure so that the Car adjusts itself dynamically compensating for the needed fuel delivery. Ill be at least a week or so because I have to get the parts and have no control over delivery, Ill keep yall posted.
Going to test the stacked pulley today to see top boost and the A/F results. Should be interesting, though I dont know about running the pair beyond a LOOK-SEE test.
May have a chance to test some new hardware which would be exciting, dont know if I will be privy to it, more when I know.
