Ok...car has been sitting in my yard since the purchase...this of course is due the ever brilliant people the state of MA hires to work in the Registry of Motor Vehicles.....
My insurance company ran all my paperwork over and they were told that "probate" papers were needed.....I got copy of the will indicating the wife had legal right to sell the car...3 trips later the insurance company suggested I pick up the papers and go to see them....so I went there this morning...
the lady behind the counter (that is a fully trained probate attorney...she just works there for the gas money...#$%^^&) she tells me I need Probate papers..I tell her there is no probate.....she repeats herself...I again respond...politely.....there is no probate...I spoke with the attorney the surviving spouse has full legal control...at this point there is a small pause........she turns stating: "oh!" "then you need to fill out one of these a surviving spouse affidavit..............If I had my supersoaker on me I could have gone postal.........So now I have to leave work early to go back with the signed doc's spend another god-aweful amount of time in line and hope things go well....maybe just maybe...I'll be able to drive it this weekend....I am not putting any faith in it though...............

dewd...its worth it. here's my one and only srt-6 story (no stories cause i never have any crossfire problems). i just purchased another new, out-of-the-box one. however, this came from pennsylvania. the state of california's dmv doesn't like "foreign" cars (ie; cars anywhere not made specifically for california). i jumped through multiple hoops and dmv visits (this just to get the paperwork rolling...)*. finally, they had me bring it in for inspection. what made it all palatable was the look of everyone staring at the car as it was scrutinized. the dmv inspector was stone-faced through the entire thing. i really loved the part where they read the odometer and couldn't equate 2005 with 137 miles. I was motioned back in the building not knowing my fate entirely and was told to return to the counter. There, they rummaged through about 75 or so state-issued plates on a shelf and pulled out one that had the letters GOH. Then, they finally smiled and said thank you. Yes, the srt-6 really does GOH.

*edit-i'm not dissing the good people at the calif dmv, just the cumbersome process.
