I am just wondering If you haven't changed any Pullies as of yet, why are you wanting to run a belt wrap kit???

Not sure which torx you are talking about. The tensioner?
On my cars I use a 15mm box wrench and use the nut that is also on the tensioner to release the tension. Don't yank on it as you will loosen the bolt. Just apply smooth pressure and the tensioner will pull back.
Let me know if this works for ya.
taking the fan out seems like a must do now!! yes the torx is the at the end of the bolt holding the pulley nut on. i was trying to get the leverage to open it up as far as possible to get the belt on as it slipped off.
by using the nut i was able to get the oem setup back on.

montana crossfire, i was originally going with a c3 pulley and the wrap. my deal with the pulley fell through so i figured ,why not? just install the wrap and be ahead of the game and maybe pick up a couple ponies in the process.

Any updates on this thread? Any issues to running a grooved pulley on the back of the belt? I don't think I would do that. If I am not mistaken, the tension will be the same applied by the tensioner no matter where you are within the range it adjusts to unless you are bottoming out so I am not understanding a few of the comments?????

the issue was never about the grooved pulley on the backside of the belt. i was unable to install the wrap with the stock s/c pulley. it put to much tension on the pulley tensioner. i must have been bottoming out the tensioner by adding a pulley and not reducing the size of the s/c pulley. i wont try this until i have a c3 or maybe a crank pulley as all the c3 pullies i tried to buy were being sold by dishonest folks ie: rt189 or flashylights

I understand. I have had the C3 pulley since they first came out and am very pleased. I have the stock crank pulley and it seems to work very well with the C3.

I got my belt wrap kit instaled today but the mech wasnt sure exactly how to do it and ended up applying it to the idler instead of the tensioner? Does this make sense to anybody and is that right?

If you got the NW kit, it has a pulley for the idler and the tensioner.....

I have a code3 pully and bought a belt wrap kit from them ages ago. I finaly got it instaled and it deffinately feels like its making a difference. I wish i had done the same as you before buying this kit but i may look into getting Rob to hook me up as well at some point in the future.

Is your kit anything like the code3? It seems as though i just have an added pulley that fills inbetween the space of the idler and sc pully to give it more grip?

if you look at robs thread on the pulley saver kit mine is identical to the others except its made for the oem crank and c3 pulley. the idler next to the s/c is eliminated and a new pulley 100mm is located above the alternator. the other idler is also changed to 100mm and the tensioner pulley remains 90 mm but replaced with a better and easier to obtain version. whole kit wrapped in a longer belt. since the install i have run my car hard as always and have not had a single bearing failure and i can log consistent 19 lbs boost on a 50* day
