Dyno Runs with 185mm and LET Tune
Well two weeks after buying my C32 (59k miles) I took the 9 hour round trip to Eurocharged and back to have a 185mm pulley, intercooler pump and heat exchanger installed and then custom tuned. As they were tearing things down they noted I had a bad water pump so had to drop another cost of pump and 7 hrs of labor for that...its good its taken car of, but man that one hurt.
Anyway I was running stock intake with some used K&Ns they had in the shop (mine stockers didn't look so good.)
Unfortunately once I got there I found out they couldn't do a custom tune (I was pretty dispapointed by that), but they did try a number of saved tunes they had on file. Unfortuantely I was leaning out on top (bit erratic) and they did not have capability to tweak that for me....I am sure my numbers would be a bit better if they were able to.
Needless to say, I'm not real familiar with dyno dynamic numbers as I know they do report lower than dynojet (which is what I've always gone to). Reading here last night once I got home my numbers may be low...curious what you all think. Peak was 291.7 tourque is 330ish.
You guys think adding the SL55 Y splitter or perhaps full intake setup will help me much here? What do you all think this would read on a dynojet??? (I ask becasue thats a frame of reference I'm accustom too)

Oh...nice group of guys, pretty cool dudes. They seem to really enjoy what they do.
I know dynos don't tell the tale...unfortuantely its been nonstop heavy rain all the way home and this morning so no real butt dyno results....part throttle feels good, feels lights and 'sprintier' will share more on that once it dries up around here.

With the supercharger attempting to suck in more air to compress with the biggest pulley out there, I would say that YES, an intake... a dual intake is necessary. I am thinking you are starving that poor motor of vital air, but how much it will show on a dyno is debatable. Assuming you see another 15 hp, that still seems low, but JMO. I will let the GURUs speak on behalf of experience.
Please tell me that the water pump did not cost 7 hours of additional labor. I have done the crossfire several times and its not even half that much time????????????
You need to consider a data logger to get the readings of the cars performance before you can evaluate the engine fully.

We did run it without an intake using a 3" (looked like 3") open tubi into S/C and it hit 305rwhp. Now that I would have been happy to see.

18% is an average difference between dynodynamics and dynojet. you can also use this... POWER-TORQUE-RPM
as an idea... your 291 on a DD is ~342 on a DJ, but those numbers are guaranteed until you get on a DJ and really see what it puts down.
I'd say you got another 25ish hp and 20ish torque hiding in there with a proper intake. The stock intake is way to restrictive even at stock boost levels put a dual 3 inch intake on there and get the tune adjusted and you have alot more power.
dual intake would be a grt improvement...next time you head up to chicago, let me know...I am due for a run up there weather permitting. We are having a test and tune day on the 17th at US 41...you should run up and test against others....good luck with your HP...modding is fun..

DD's vary widely dyno-to-dyno; I've seen DD results that are less-than, approximately equal-to, and yes, occasionally greater-than DJ results for the same car.
As they (DD's) are typically lower, I've seen 'guesstimates' that proper % losses for our platform to compute output at the crank, DJ is 18% and DD is 20-22%. So even using the more-aggressive 22% factor, 291rw would be ~373 at the crank (up from 349), and likely would result in ~306 rw on a DJ.

I've not seen before a claim that 18% is an "average" differential between rear-wheel DynoDynamics results and rear-wheel Dynojet results - not saying it isn't, but I just haven't seen it, so I asked to know the source where that number comes from is all.

Yep, love to mod my cars. This is why I chose the C32 over any of the R Series jags I was looking at...more potential (and more pleased each day I decided that although still have a fondness for some fo those jags).
Can't make the US41 meet this week...but Jerry has offered to help me out on this during a future event. IN the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for a dual intake option (not much there for us C32s so am thinking about a custom DIY intake of some sort as well as an SL55). Have some ideas on a DIY intake project....may post it in near future for feedback.

Let me get this straight, you drove 9 hours to Eurocharged to have your car modded and dyno tuned, and they didn't have the right equipment to do the work?!?!? Nice. I'd be more than a little upset about that.
