afaik only 4 units have made it out the door. with mine being # 5 im sure there arent many calls being made. i called and left a message this am because they received my diff last fri and i hadnt heard from them. he will call when the unit is installed for final payment. same for all the others, call comes when payment is to be made

 

Steve, I talked to him yesterday, to add the seals and such to my order. He is picking more up this week, and anticipates all going out in the next week....he will call before shipping. I know you shipped your diff, so I can't answer as to where that is...but, he always returns my calls....I won't bug him again until he calls to verify shipment...kind of getting anxious, but, I have other things to do while my mechanic is tearing into it...remove exhausts, install bungs, do the resonator delete, the coupe gets, new brake line, fluid, and ceramic pads on the front....and anything else that pops into my old mind...lol...

 

doc devin has my diff in his shop. he received it last fri. thats why i called him as i hadnt heard anything in 4 days. he called me this morning to let me know they were getting 6 units today. so hopefully they will have mine finished tommorrow and ship it out thurs. fingers crossed! the next time i hear from him it will be to finish the payment and get my return tracking number

 

that's cool....he's pretty professional...can't wait to get started....but, my hands are tied as to when my mechanic can get them in....as it will be down for awhile...he moonlights from his daytime job...turning wrenches...so I don't push him too hard...and we have exhausts, brakes as well...but, it will all get done. No hurry, as I just learned today, Woodward will probably not happen. I am needed in Illinois that week, and won't get home until late that Friday. But, if the diff is in, I will drive up Saturday, be there that afternoon, and cruise by the gang, and show them what a real holeshot is....lol...

 

well I spoke to Devin and his father 4 times today because we are still working on getting the axles stubs for the 32 guys,, as i said before you 04 crossfire and slk32 people with stub (bolt on axles) must send your diff with the axles stubs still in the carrier so they can be machined and set up as push in axles ,, i am going to 3 different junk yards tomorrow to see what they have all three say they have the stubs we need, OH just so you know i did receive my Wavetrac last week and it has been in the car for 4 days now ,,and Rudy is driving the car down this weekend ((the forth in Florida)) will let you know what i find. jim

 

Sorry, JIM...it is in INDIANA.....thought I would check it out for you....lol..........OK, I'm J/K....but I would.... And, my wavetracs are being shipped this evening along w/ the seals I need....how 'bout that? The rest of you should be getting yours very soon as well....

Got the call from Devin today. He is confirming he will have my unit one week from today. Planing on shipping mine out for the install. Who else got the call today?

 

I got "the call" today from Devin right in the middle of pizza and beer. What could be better! He's shipping it out parcel post today. I hope to get it installed the week it arrives.

Well, who ever got called that their is shipping today after noon E.S.T, is prolly getting my diff!

I got a call from Devin at lunch time today asking where my diff was - I was to ship mine to him to install. But my daily driver had a complete electrical melt-down, and I'm "forced" to drive the XF while its in the shop - 3 weeks tomorrow it's been in the shop!

Anyway, I explained to Devin that by the time I get my daily driver back, and remove the diff, ship it to him, he installs it and ships it back - I would be about a week late for Carlisle. Well, I can't exactly take the MINI to the Carlisle All CHRYSLER Nationals... so, I told him I would ship it after Carlisle.

So someone got bumped up on the list due to my MINI mechanic taking forever. You're welcome.

 

damn go-kart.....lol.....but, we appreciate the bump...

 

He called me at 12:15 EST more or less. I didn't know that Mini's had electrical gremlins. I hope it is fixed fast and cheaply.

I just walked in the door with my Wavetrac! I was shocked to see it arrive because I asked for it parcel post but it fit in one of those one price boxes so they sent it Priority. I opened the box to find a tube of RTV for the cover and the 2 new axel seals a well as the unit itself. I was billed for the parts (cheaper than I could have found them) so don't go out and buy them beforehand. It's time to talk to the shop!

we are still looking for a set of axle stubs for our skl32 members so if any one has a set they want to sell ($75.00 ea) so the wavetrac can go to our members that have the SLK 32 and the early 2004 crossfire that have the stubs ,,, either let Devin or myself know ,,,thanks jim

It's great to finally see these getting delivered! Now someone go to the track and see what you can do!

I'm heading out next week, so I'm hoping the bolt-on solution isn't too far out and I'll have mine when I return the end of Aug...
