the only V251 (R class) implementation of steering wheel shift buttons I find in the EPM are duals (up and down on both buttons). They are pinned differently (common is pin 2 instead of pin 1), but could easily be changed to be plug compatible with the amg aluminum paddles (and the r170/crossfire paddle kit). I do not know how they are retained , but I would guess by a screw which would make their installation feasible.

Thanks Mario

45th paddle kit shipped to viper-jay ... only 3 left but they are spoken for.

I will make another run sometime (soon?). Anyone hoping to add this to their car over the holidays should let me know soon so I can push it onto the front burner.

Doc, can you send me a picture so I can see what you got and then we can consider the options?

Chris

P.s. I'm talking about the wheel, not your short, fat fingers ...
... not much I can do about the fingers

Hay Chris thanks again for the shift kit just installed it last night and gave it a good testing today they work perfectly, It did take me a little longer than what it takes you to install, but the instructions are spot on and easy to fallow. I had it all done in about 7 Hrs.
thanks again
Jay

I am starting into this mod after roughly a year of having them sit on a shelf. Your kit is Very well put together!
I should have installed this when I had everything out last spring. Now it takes an hour and a half just to peel up the passenger side carpet...

Thank you Latemodel21

Ah, so you'll have it finished by Spring? Maybe you can offer Dave some tips?

Chris I finally got the car tuned so now I can take the wheel off sometime this winter and ship it out to you. No hurry. Still snow on the ground here.

I am in no rush. Too much snow on the ground to get the car out anyway. Plus the steering will be gone for a while to get work done.

Gives me time to take care of all the other little issues that need to be taken care of

Thanks for the kind words.

the good news is that despite your kit's age, it is still the current version (as there was never a single failure nor reason to update the installed elements of the kit).

The only minor change is that the kit now comes with a slightly better cutting template (laser cut rather than hand made) and it also comes with 2 adhesive backed vinyl cutting templates (which can be helpful when cutting a virgin wheel such as yours or wheel that came without shift buttons). If you like I can send you the updated templates.

You should still have my cell number. Feel free to give me a call if you have questions during your install.

happy Holidays,
Chris

I already have the holes cut and drilled but I want to have the leather "like new" again on my stock wheel so I am going to this place. Steering Wheels and Armrest Restoration » See Our Work | Fibrenew Niagara Peninsula

I am also looking into something different once I get a spare wheel that was not in a wreck. Probably during the summer I will get another one done the way I want at this place. Its not cheap but looks great. Custom Leather & Wood Grain Steering Wheels | Craft Customs
