Supercharger
I have replaced the cooling pump with a Johnson and replace a fuse #13 once still good and am still having intermittent problems with the super charger, does anyone have any other suggestion before I pull the pump and check it . It does not seam as bad as when I first replaced the stock pump just when I am repeatedly trying to make it work.My SRT6 roadster has 17000 miles and still has a lot of pep but I miss the acceleration of the supercharge all the time .
l only thing left to change is the ambient temperature sensor and am still having problem, Just wondering why the check engine light has never come on.anyone have any clues.

I would suggest replacing the ambient temperature sensor. it is in the lower louvre on the drivers side.
If it is faulty it will read normal to the cabin, but be sending the ECU a very negative (cold) number. As a result of that the engine will add fuel to keep temps at operating levels which will cause the engine to get hotter than normal when it is actually much warmer outside than the temp sensor believes.

Check the air intake temperature sensor, located in the 'y' pipe. If this is giving false readings the ECU thinks the air is too hot and shuts down the supercharger. it's a cheap fix at about $20
Forgive my ignorance........I just bought a SRT6 off of ebay and it's all new to me. All this supercharger stuff is new to me as well. How can you tell if the SC is working properly or not? Many normally aspirated engines will downshift on heavy acceleration and might seem like there's forced induction at work. When I first start the engine there is a high pitched sound coming from the engine bay but slowly dissipates after 20 seconds or so. Is that the SC? Thanks

You also may want to pinch the coolant return line and drive your car hard to get any air out that got into the system from replacing the IC pump. I would do this before you spend more money replacing parts that might not be needed.

It is in the lower driver's side grille. If you take off the grille and look on the right side of the driver's side lower grille (as your facing the car) you will sit it, quite small...sticking out through its location.
Hope that helps.
Just a little update: changed the air intake sensor no change still only works part time waiting on ambient temperature sensor should be here by Wednesday if that's not it I will remove the johnson pump and check it. than I think I will Look for a mechanic. Through all this no Check engine light????? Any queses why no light?? Tacomad thank you
I would say the pump isn't working, and no, you wont get a "check engine light". It won't throw a code. I had problems with both the temp sensor and the pump. Replaced both, and haven't had any problems since. In fact, I have not touched the coupe, it is still stock as far as the pump goes. I take it the power cuts off when you accelerate?

I really wanted to thank everyone for all their suggestions.I did not notice it even when I changed the pump, and it was up only about 8 inches higher. Can not figure how they got cut!!!!!!
