Default no esp in '04?

So did some 04's not come with esp? I have no 17 or 18 fuse in my fuse box (under the hood) even on the paper it says spare...so I looked in my instruction manual and 17 and 18 are listed as spare. I still can turn traction control off and on but if I do have esp how do I disable it and why no fuses? Also how can I check for esp just do some serious cornering? Thanks guys.

Not to make you feel silly, but which fuse box are you talking about ? There are three of them...

I also ran into this situation. i saw there was no 17 or 18 fuse in the fuse box in the engine compartment on the driver side. i also pulled the YAW sensor and the ESP BAS light came on and now i cant rev over 4,000 RPM and it bogs down just like it has TC on.

Please Help i feel like my car is making fun of me all the time.

I am (as we speak) looking at the original window sticker from my '04 Coupe. Under "Standard Equipment" is listed "Electronic Stability Program".

I Read in this forum that disconnecting the YAW sensor located under the center console behind the shifter would be the only way to disable the TC fully. So i popped off the entire bezel, cover piece around the shifter and took out the two screws and got two flat head screwdrivers to undo the pins on the center console and pulled up, revealing the sensor as described. i unplugged it, the ESP BAS light appeared on the dash, but the car still can't burnout and still can't bone out into second gear.

That's the one on drivers side against the firewall under the hood...the only other one is in cab and the one over by battery that has 3 fuses in it one of them is traction but when it's disconnected my traction control is still engaged and I cant turn it off. Which one is it then?
