I have only had it off for maybe 1k miles? I don't really drive the car all that much now (especially in the winter). I think it is a little more pronounced, but nothing crazy. Although, my shyt is loud all over when I get on it. lol I did it for more of a heat dissipation.

My hood blanket has been off for about a year. Had a 4X4 shop to spray under the hood with truck bed liner. No problems! Squirrel Crusher

I thought my car was missin' it, but as I just found out, it never had one as it's a base model. Thanks for the info. As always, this site is informative.

This sounds like a good idea. Did you cut the tabs off before spraying the bed liner material? Any pictures?

Yes I cut the tabs off. Used a mini cut off dremel disk. The truck bed liner will add 10 pounds to the hood weight but look sooo good. Squirrel Crusher

have you had any issues with the hood strut not keeping the hood up with the added weight? i really like this idea! did you remove the hood to get it done?
