My OEM battery started giving the click-click-click with spoiler popping up a couple weeks ago, I went right out and replaced it. The new battery went right in as a perfect fit, and only cost 100 bucks without tax n fees. Have not had any trouble since and smooth sailing now. If you have an OEM battery, you should replace it before it leaves you stranded.

Many here use the Rotex Gold Brake Pads which are Kevlar-blended, semi-metallic. But for the price you can't beat the Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramics.

As for the battery, even if you have the last production 2008 Xfire off the line, that battery is already over the 72 month limit. Everyone should have replaced their OEM Varta white battery by now.

I like my new pads... Hawk HPS's ! Much less dust than the OEMs and they DO NOT FADE even in a hard stop from 80 MPH.

If you're considering using an AMSOIL product, their website recommends the European 5w40 Synthetic oil. Looks like it can be purchased for $7.50/quart + S&H charges. AMSOIL product spec sheet for my 2007 XFire NA Coupe is attached.

+1 on the Amsoil. You can't go wrong. I also use their Trans and Rear End fluids!.

Just replaced my original Varta (11/04) with an Energizer AGM from Sams. About $150. Perfect fit. The old Varta still seemed good, no codes but after sitting a few weeks it would crank a few seconds before starting, also the spoiler has gone up at odd times. Sams has an Energizer that is not an AGM for about $105.
If I understand this correct the AMG has a gel inside and won't leak, also a higher cold cranking amps and an AMG loses about about 1 or 2 percent of power a month while sitting up compared to a regular battery loses that much a day. Other brands also have AGM batteries.

Tip of the day: Go on eBay and order the Chrysler Blue Tooth OBD2 scanner for $39.72. It works through your Android or Apple device to give yuo constant readings on codes, and displays over 20 engine functions (temps, etc). Turn off codes, etc. I ordered one and will report on how it does
