Oil level sensor leakage after oring replacement

Default Oil level sensor leakage after oring replacement

Hi guys,
In the beginning sorry if the topic was in the past, but my English is not very well and i coudn't find answer for my problem.
I have just replaced the oil sensor oring, and after finished job I started engine and... leakage appeared again;./ Is it possible that the sensor is damaged inside and making oil leakage?

Hi there - I've got a similar leaking problem on a working sensor did you end up replacing the o-ring, or the whole unit?

From personal experience, my sensor was leaking and a mb mechanic I know advised me, and gave me a Merc o-ring He suggested to replace it and it should fix the leak. It still leaked after replacing it. Ended up replacing the sensor and all is good. Sensor was leaking through the top. Good news is, I'm pretty good at re and re sensor since I did it twice.

You should replace the whole unit with a new sensor.
