Default Auto Trans shift question?

Being new to Crossfire I have noticed that when in the Summer shifting mode the trans seems to lag from first to second gear. I was "thinking," dangerous for me, that the front band might need adjusting. When to a garage that specializes in Mercedes and other European cars and asked about it. The owner told me there was no front band adjustment as it is all electronic shifting. Went home and looked in the service manual and it says that there is a front band adjustment and procedure for doing it. What gives with the different information from mechanic and service manual?

Because , 10 out out of ten so called mechanics don't know crap about the crossfire the S is for 1 through 5 gears the W the car starts out in 2 gear as for in sand or snow but if you floor it in w u will start in 1 gear if lag it could be the conductor plate starting to fail also make sure the elect conection at the transmission is not wet with transmission fluid if yes ,,that plug needs replacing. You could get a tuned TCU that would inprove the shifting. I have a tuned tcu for a srt6 399.00 i want for it.
before taking your car to any mechanic ask the question here and we have good crossfire mech all over the state of fl. check out this list.

Thanks for that info! "But" do you know about the question concerning a front band adjustment? Does it adjust or not? I've even watched YouBoob and it shows exactly how to do it using inch-pound torque wrench. Mechanic and I did discuss the use of the "W & S" switch. ( I've already been scammed by Express Oil Change for $323 for an alignment. Taking them to small claims court! )

I did take it to one of the suggested garages off this forum. It was,
Florida- Tampa Bay Complete Auto Repair 4411 N Lois Ave Tampa 813-870-1250

If they are no good let me know ,I'll take then off the list .

the tranny to shift better (no exturnal adj.)you ,,,,need valve body,,,,,, blure top sensors and tuned tcu , text matt on that list he knows more than I he and Rudy built my trans for the V8 set it up for 1000 hp so i would never have a problem, my first V8 tranny (same as crossfire) (different set od blue tops valve body is the pnly differance) ran over 900 runs down the drag strip with 600 hp engine with no failure

as for alignment ,, get the mercedes adj bolts then get a livetime at firestone I think around $190.00

Wow! Drage strip car fun. At 73 I just want a smoth depedable ride. The 1st to 2nd is not a problem just different from smoothness of other gears. As far as front end goes I'll wait foe my new shoxks to arrive. Might be as sinple as new shoxks and correct tire pressure. Pressure ia 35 front and rear. When I bought car they at 50psi. Asked why and said thats what on the side of tire.

50 psi is the Max tire pressure for the tire. The tire pressure suitable for the car is on the B pillar and in the Owners Hand Book.

How can people be this stupid? I mean, that is not IGNORANT (which is excusable), that is STUPID - what is on the side of the tire is NOT "Inflate to 50psi", its "Maximum inflation 50psi".

Yes that's what I told him but he just didn't get it! Even showed him the door post! He said he always does that with his cars! And this is from a man in his mid 30's. LoL
