Default Help "flywheel" needed...

To my fellow members I am new to this, and with that said, I took my 2004 crossfire to the shop with a clutch problem (the Patel went straight to the floor,)after sitting for 3 months. I was then told some hours later that I need a flywheel (that they can't find) and a new clutch kit. Oh my...
also the flywheel would cost $17-2,300 and the clutch kit 600+. Do anyone have any info on a flywheel new or used?

The pedal going to the floor does not mean you need a flywheel and clutch. These clutches are hydraulic, fluid and master/slave cylinder issues can explain the pedal behavior.
This sounds asinine. Let's wait to see what the more mechanically experienced say.

Moved to appropriate forum...

As the engine and transmission are the same as an SLK320 I would expect this would work:

I also absolutely agree the pedal going to the floor is not a flywheel problem.

The clutch pedal going to the floor is not related to a bad flywheel. If it worked before sitting for 3 months, you probably need to bleed the slave cylinder or look for a leak.
If your flywheel and clutch is bad you certainly would have known it before you parked it.

Same goes for shops that tell you that you need all sorts of front end and steering parts when you get new tires. If the car handled well and tires wore reasonably well on the old tires - your car is fine.
