Engine quit running while driving
Happened yesterday. Driving along and suddenly, the engine stops running. Safely pulled over and would not start, not even clicking or starting sound. After about 10 minutes looking at the fuses, I get back in and it started. Had something like this happen on my previous MB SLK320 which is the base for the Crossfire. The cause was the main relay needed replacing. Would this be the right solution in this case?

If you want to get your relay control module refurbished, email tighed1@hotmail.com for the details. Cost is about a third of the price of a new RCM.

but then will typically start again within about 20 minutes
There in a "main relay" on our RCM
Thank you!. Just want to confirm the part number per the parts catalog on the site; is it 05099007AA (Relay Engin Management (Fuel Pump)?
Most likely your issue is the Crankshaft position sensor and part number is: BOSCH 0261210170
The RCM part number is Mercedes: 1705450305 (The Chrysler version will be more expensive)

Great advice! I ordered the part via my mechanic who took care of my SLK320 before it was totaled. He agreed, use MB parts only for the Crossfire where possible.
Now that u have a new K40/ mercedes// RCM chrysler calls it your old RCM, don't even think of repairing it or letting your mechanic do it send it to tighed1@hotmail.com
