Awesome exhaust system for $275
Mine is a 2 piece also, but does not include the resonator section that Borla has to make there system quieter. Mine is just the muffler and a 3 foot section of mandrel tubing, that clamps to the front of the muffler, bent exactly like the original factory section,so it fits and routes just like the stock set up. I will have a drive by video clip and an undercarriage view, along with a shot of everything in the kit ( the complete kit not connected sitting on the floor). I am staging more kits in the near future and will be listing my kit on EBAY, probably in the next week or so. I have a real good and high rating, so buyers can purchase comfortably on EBAY and pay through pay pal with confidence.
No offense taken, The sound is probably the quality of the file, because the local guys that have heard it said its the best sounding muffler they have heard on the car and it sounds a lot better driving, that is why I will soon get a drive by sound file. As far as the tips, that is the beauty of this set up, you buy the tips you like and install them yourself. It would be too hard to please everyone. One of the guys that just bought my exhaust went to advance auto parts and said they have a real good selection of quality stainless steel clamp on tips that have an internal clamp bracket that clamps to the muffler tip and then you screw the tips into the bracket so the screws and the bracket are hidden, making it look like the tips were part of the muffler. He brought it by to show me and they are almost double the width of the muffler tips and an oval round shape and they looked pretty damn good. He said they also have round and square ones. They are real short so they don't stick much further than the muffler tips and sell for about $8 each. Also, the beauty of my system set up is the muffler clamps on to the pipe so you can slide the muffler in or out about 2 inches, in case you find longer tips, but don't want it to stick too far, you can loosen the clamp and slide the muffler further in.
well good luck; to each his own i guess. but i think you would do better if it was a true 'bolt-on' system that included all the pieces. universal mufflers are alot cheaper than $275, and if the person still has to cut their factory system AND has to buy tips to weld (or clamp) on, it doesnt sound like a "kit" you're selling.
my own $0.02; again please take this as 'constructive' criticism.

I think the price fits the system. Some people just want sound and power and it sounds like your kit hits those needs. The cost for tips would make the cost of the kit jump up to the cost of getting a Mopar system. Good job for the price!
I'm holding onto my money to by a turbo and the exhaust will have to change > so I'm going long term BIG power vs. short term low power gains. I will make 330 hp and that's that...

Better put some tips on that muffler to extend it out or you'll melt the rear fascia right between the two exhaust pipes, like I did mine before the tips were added...
Former NXMX5, The kit is the fact that you have a 3 foot mandrel section of pipe and a universal muffler that fits to the factory routing and length and that it comes with 2 additional hangers that mount to chassis bolts. Even if you are capable of doing your own mandrel bending, the homework is done for you and this is a simple, effective installation, that gets the job done for a good price. I don't mind constructive criticism, but ignorant criticism just takes up space on the thread.
HDDP, I believe mine is mounted low enough to keep the heat from melted the fascia. I have checked it after some hard runs and the heat doesn't seem to get close enough to the fascia. But the muffler I am actually using for the kits I have started producing have larger flared tips that are double walled, to reduce the heat transfer.
Thanks

Does this increase the diameter of the factory piping at all? If not, I think the piping might be useless as there appears to be no crimps in the factory piping. If it is being done for weight savings that is one thing, but the factory system is as smooth as can be under there.
I might be in the minority here, but I think that the tips of Screaminjoe's kit look fantastic. I am tempted, but I agree that the kit would be more attractive if it didn't require the stock unit to be cut. The cost of the kit is reasonable, but add whatever a new (or slightly used) stock muffler would cost on top of that, to someday put the car back to stock condition. If the appropriate flange was added, I would want to buy right away. Surely for a guy who mandrel bends tubing, a little welding and fabrication work to make the kit a direct bolt-on would not be impossible, and perhaps even justified given plans to sell it in (low) volume. As it stands, I will need to carefully consider these downsides if I decide to order this great looking, low cost kit.
i actually saw a crossfire with a custom exhaust the other day, first time. it was in arcadia, black roadster, looked and sounded very nice. it had big ol chrome wheels, 20's, and on of those "DUB" stickers and an eibach sticker.
Juddz, like I mentioned in previous posts, there is practically no cost to return the system to factory. You keep your factory set up and then to return it, you can do one of 2 things. Have a muffler shop weld one bead to join the factory set up back together or do it yourself, using a exhaust pipe coupler. And as far as making it a bolt on, its not the mandrel bending that is costly it is the extra pipe and german style 3 bolt flange ( Mercedes doesn't use the common 3 bolt flange we us here in the US), not to mention my set up allows you to still use the factory hanger at the mid section for great support. The cost will go up another $150 to make the whole set up. I think my kits will be listing on EBAY for $100, with a reserve of about $175.
Stallion8797, my exhaust pipe section is not there to increase the power output any, actually a larger diameter pipe from that point of the exhaust would not yield any power gain and might actually hurt it. It is simply, to give the installer a easy convenient open spot to cut the factory pipe and clamp on my add on. The gain from my kit is all from the muffler (it is an straight through flow resonator style). I designed this kit to be for the leasees or low budget owners, that not only wanted to spend a lot less than $650 for a better sounding/performing muffler, but a easy installation kit, that could be quickly and easily returned to factory.
On the sound file, not only does the quality of the clip kinda suck, but it is really hard to show how good it sounds, when the darn rev limiter won't let you do a good rev on the car, that is why I am going to get a drive by and accelerating clip soon. But trust me, it sounds nothing like a Honda and has a really good tone, especially when accelerating. It also actually quiets down and you start screaming into the higher rpms and at idle and highway driving, it is barely louder than the factory.
Wouldn't it be just as easy to remove the factory muffler closer to the rear and just attach an aftermarket muffler there? Not saying your idea is bad, just asking if this would do the same thing. And about that sound file thing, unless you have good recording equipment its gonna sound crappy. Mine sounds the same way, and completely different standing next to it. So please don't say it sounds ricey just by that clip.
Stallion8797, no you can't just cut off right at the muffler, because the inlet to the factory muffler enters from the far left side of the canister and on most universals, it enters from the center, plus there is a sharp bend just before the muffler also. I chose the cut location (approximately 3 feet upstream from the muffler), because it is just behind the factory middle hanger and it is a straight section that is easy to get to, not only to do the cut but to reinstall/weld the factory pipe, should you want to go back to the factory set up.
