Your pitures & step by step instructions on changing the Crossfire Headlamp bulb were most useful, but I had difficulty removing the plastic connectir plug from the old bulb. I finally did this by looping a thin plastic string around the back of the connector (like a lasoo), so I could pull it outwards, while wiggling it with my fingers! It finally came off, after which fitting the new bulb was no problem.
My main problem is Interior Noise, much louder than the Mercedes SLK on which the Crossfire is based.

Granted they come in pairs so not like one white eye and blue eye syndrom... but if you wanted to keep what you had? I got the 6000K and they actually are bluer than what I originally anticipated..

Go to the very top of the page and type 'replace headlight bulb' into the Google Custom Search box.
Click on the first link listed.

I like to think, and Dave, please correct me if I am wrong, that since we have met more than a few times and have shared several adult beverages, that you would allow me to jokingly talk about your lack of medication

I do NOT want to be on his bad side, Dave knows more about the part numbers and solutions to these cars than the engineers who built them...

No offense taken here, my problem solving is done with search and the use of my memory on common faults.
I learn new stuff every day.

I found it funny that the OP posted his question in the very thread he was looking for. He asks his question in post #102 and is told to go to post #1.

Do this at your own risk.

Thanks for the helpful info,...I had a mechanic look at removing it and he finally suggested I take it to the dealership...instead I looked it up on the forum and did it myself. Yes girls can do this too!
Unfortunately because I did not take the rubber cap off in the first place I didn't realize it was there and it must have fallen off the car when driving. Now I need to locate another one...any ideas?

Do not go to this mechanic, I use the word mechanic loosely here, again.

Try MrMopar and his shop.
Or buy the kit that helps prevent moisture in the head light unit.

Putting the clip on is quite easy, you put the index finger of one hand on the raised hinge of the unit and hold the spring slightly pinched together in the other hand. Slide the end of the clip under the tip of the index finger and feel the end enter the hinge point. Repeat this with the other end of the clip. You do not even have to look at what you are doing, it is all done by feel.
Tie the clip to a piece of string or something so that if you drop it you can find it easily.

Just changed bulbs with Sylvania HID like bulbs. Nice bright white, but I noticed that the passanger side light will not adjust high enough to luminate the road. I tried cranking it all the way down, it clicked and went down a step. I cranked it all the way down until the adjustment won't turn anymore, then I cranked it up. It seemed to come up well at first but it wouldn't angle high enough to match up with the passanger side light. I cranked that one down but I can only see about 15ft infront of the car. I read how one of the bulbs inserts tab up and the other inserts tab down so I turned the passanger bulb tab up. I thought I had figured it out but again, it didn't crank high enough. Any thoughts?

I think you got confused.. should be both tabs down on low beams.. and both tabs up on the high beams.. sounds like even though you "think" they are in the tab.. it isn't quite there..

Thanks to all who contributed to this thread. Replaced my orig factory Osram driver's low beam with a Hella (made in India) this weekend after it burned out just as I returned from the Dragon last week.

Project went well with no bloodshed, although my biggest problem was getting the plug off. A pair of small needlenose vise grips did the trick. Of course it took 3 tries to get the bulb tab correct so the beam was level. Forum instructions were a lifesaver.
