3.2 AMG badges being produced again
Re: 3.2 AMG badges being produced again
John.....I like the badges... But damn I can't take anymore tears from the AMG guys... So, I will remain de-badged. I can't take anymore crap from the Chrysler/Dodge crowd either. Too bad these little cars didn't come in "Red"....lol.... A true step child if there ever was one.

UPDATE!
Badges are complete, and ready to ship. I asked about payment/ordering method, below is the response:
Original thread to follow along and see pics is located in the first post in this thread... Last page has photos of the finished product. Came out EXTREMELY well IMO...
Chances are if you wanted one, and didn't make the initial list, you can still get some as he made some extras.
Cheers,

Good afternoon all,
Just wanted to take a moment to remind those of you that wished to purchase the emblems, they are ready and available for purchase. He said there are still a few he hasn't heard from, but I didn't ask for specific names.
For those of you that have already received yours, post some pics!

Re: 3.2 AMG badges being produced again
This little badge fest is our way of drawing attention to our otherwise naked stepchild of the Chrysler/MB world. I actually got a rise out of a supposed MB mechanic when he saw the little Karmann shield I had stuck above the side rakes on the Limited and thought I had a "compressor". What a maroon.
It's the same argument Dino owners get when they say they own a Ferrari. Funny how I used to get the same mindless jealous ribbing from the Brits for having "Cosworth Twin Cam" (factory stamped) on the back of my '76 Z09 Vega. Since that's all they ever saw was my rear end leaving them in the dust!!! Chevy had no problem sticking it on an American made car. Best one I ever saw was a buddy in school who onwed a "sleeper" '93 Ford Taurus SHO that had a sticker across the top of the back windshield that read "Powered By Yamaha". It would make the guy behind him wonder out load WTF when he would burn them at the light!!
Why would you NOT want to stick an AMG badge on the SRT? A M/B is simply an M/B until you stick the AMG drivetrain in it and suddenly it's an AMG. The same can be said with the SRT. If I have a AMG motor that was handbuilt by "Gunter" factory installed, why not call it an AMG!

Re: 3.2 AMG badges being produced again
For those of you that may be interested, I'm considering selling mine simply because I'm considering a "stealth" look for the car next spring. I received the badges a few weeks ago and they look incredible, the quality is superb.
Mine are new, never installed and I'd be willing to do $50 shipped.

Re: 3.2 AMG badges being produced again
How did I miss this dumb thread?
To quote a friend;
What makes me wonder is why you would call yourself not a poser, yet you've debadged your car of all chrysler emblems and only want to put AMG/// insignia's on it...
Things that make you go hmm
To quote a friend;
Personally I'd love to remove the fender strakes, shave/repaint the holes, and mount the badge dead-center of the recessed area (like on the C63) for a much cleaner look.
But that's a ton-o-work for a $60 badge.
I'll be putting mine where the 2006 SRT had its fender emblems... that's also where MB puts them on most 2006+ vehicles. Can't imagine it would look good on the rear deck, but that call is left up to everyone else. That's the beauty of doing as you wish with your own ride.
The poser thread is an interesting one. In there, you will find financially over-extended folks with $1,000 car payments giving other folks a hard time for trying to appear to be something they're not.
Makes one wonder...
