Default Headlight Tab Repair.

I going to repair this broken tab on this headlight by backfilling with epoxy then screw a 1/8" x thick aluminum plate extension on top. Then attach a speed clip .

Could someone measure theirs and provide the dimensions shown in the photos please? And what size is the bolt? 10mm?

I do not have dimensions handy, but I did do a repair almost identical to what you are describing. I trimmed the remains of the original tab off, and then bent an "L" bracket, which I pop riveted to the housing, and then drilled/tapped the 5x0.8mm hole for the mountin bolt. Works like a charm!

I think the mounting hole is 1 5/16" from the face and level with the top? M5 x 0.80 is the bolt size?

I thought about doing what you did but was afraid I would pole through to the reflector.

It will not hit the reflector, and the pop rivet will not back out, like screws will. From memory the thread is indeed M5x0.8mm

The top headlight bolt is M5-0.8 x 12mm with a locked in washer
