Default Trunk - Plastic removal

I searched and couldnt find anything.

I'm taking apart my trunk to get out the glass fragments where some ***** stole my sound system and broke the back glass. I got out all the fabric panels, but I can't figure out how to remove the plastic panel at the very back, so that I can remove the two styrofoam pieces at the bottom.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

You'll need to get a trim removal tool from autozone or napa or sears and then there are a bunch of push in style retainers that look like black plastic dots. Slide that tool in between the top and botton of that "dot" and pull. After they come out, you'll have to be careful about pulling the side panels out and then you can pull out the back and that will give you access to pull out those styrofoam trays.

Hope this helps

you have to take out the beige side panels before you can pull it out. It literally is the very last thing to come out of the trunk and the very first thing you put back in. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

Are there clips holding it in? Im pretty sure I took out all the snaps... the plastic panel and the styrofoam are the only pieces still in my car.

You should just be able to pull it straight forward toward the front of the car. You may have to pull the part that the latch goes through out. It is about 4 inches wide right in the center of the panel. It will lift out of there with some work. There are 4 compression clips behind it that will come out with the panel.

Sweet thanks. That's what I think I needed to know. I tried to pull out the latch panel first but I wasn't sure if it was supposed to come out so I didnt pull too hard. I'll try that and see how it goes.
