Are my window switched backwards?
I have an 04, and when I press for forward part of the window switch, the windows go down, and when I press the back end they go up. I test drove a SRT a few days ago and his was opposite then mine. Was there a switch from 04 to 05, or mine just backwards?
Romio, my '04 is exactly the same & completely opposite from my SRT. Gets confusing if I switch between cars often..........
This is a really quick fix on the manuals and somewhat more time consuming on the autos but all you have to do is remove the shifter surround panel and using a butterknife or other thin sturdy tool to slip in between the tabs that hold the buttons in. Start on one side and get that tab popped out and then keepign slight pressure on the face of the switch, do the same for the other tab. After it's out, you can jsut slide your finger nail under the middle of the switch where it hinges and pop the cover off. Flip it around, verify taht it's corerct and reinstall. Hope this helps.

Both buttons, whether flipped around or not, should go to 'automatic down' once pushed beyond intitial resistance and into the detent. Do both your '04 and SRT buttons do this?
Don't tell me that one of them goes into 'automatic up'.

On either car the auto-down feature works just fine!
And, IMO, it's not worth the hassle to yank the covers off of the console & flip the switches around. All it takes is just one "whoops, wrong car" & we're pretty squared-away as to which direction to push ze button.
