worn steering wheel solution
Has anyone used a Wheelskins leather steering wheel cover to deal with a worn steering wheel? Mine is vanilla and showing wear. Any other ideas for dealing with that?

I've got the vanilla interior and my steering wheel has worn areas on it too. I've tried using a wheelskin cover, but it doesn't look very good. The white wheelskin color doesn't match the vanilla interior color. A black wheelskin cover would be your best bet, if that's the way you want to go. I'm considering having my steering wheel recovered and having wood installed by a company called CarID. It costs $340.00. Here's a link to their site.

Definitely something to consider, anyone done anything like this? The MB wheel they show in the description with the white carbon is pretty badass...
The company that refinishes the steering wheels is now B&I. A company named Trimstop processes their orders. I sent in my vanilla white steering wheel, for adding wood and installing new leather. Unfortunately, they don't have and white leather colors. I decided to cover my wheel with black leather, like the 2008 Crossfires, and either color my air bag or find a black one. Anyway, the price is down to $225. There's a company in Texas that has vanilla leather color called Craft Customs (http://www.craftcustoms.com]. I didn't get a price from them, but they look pretty good.
