Jason, nice to see we have one but we should get this to the board for input. For instance, we should update to include some general info that we are having food, kettlecorn, music, raffel etc. etc. Even if we aren't ready to be specific (although we should at some point) we should profile this so families and others know what's being offered. Other thoughts and more later. Thanks and glad we have an early start of this.

I decided to make an executive decision and go with last year's format, made some updates and had David do the flyer. I felt that last year there was too much back and forth with the flyer process. it is after all simply a flyer for the car show. As companies approve sponsorship then we will add logos, but only after they confirm sponsorship. we will make ONE change to the flyer to show additional items, but as of now we have no raffles, no music, nothing really other then a location and a charity. I know we have talked to JB Seafood, a kettlecorn person, and James might bring some music. the updates to the flyer need to be presented at the meeting. after the meeting the only changes will be the addition of sponsors. I have been in contact with larger company sponsors and they need to see a flyer alot earlier in the season.

Modern Mopar Magazine is the first to sign on. They will be sending 100 of the current magazine to give out at our show. they also requested pictures and a follow up about the show that they will post on the website and possibly in the magazine.

I thought we discussed and voted that the Sheltie Rescue was going to be the group that the entry fee would support and the Crossfires4Charity would have a seperate donation box. Since the rescue is being supported by the entry fee they are the group that is promoted on the flyer, and crosfires4charity will have to by hyped at the show. This can be talked about at the meeting in April.

This club belongs to you guys, I'm just executing what was voted on.

UPDATE

Hobbyists Asked to Testify in Support of Maryland Bill to Provide for Single License Plate

Legislation (H.B. 562) that would only require the issuance and attachment of a single license plate on all Maryland vehicle classes will be considered by the House Environmental Matters Committee on Tues., February 19, 2013. The bill sponsor, Delegate Donald Elliott, has asked us to help identify vehicle hobbyists who would be interested in testifying in support of the bill.

Those willing to testify in person must arrive at Delegate Elliott’s office by 11:45a.m. on Feb. 19 in order to sign in by the noon deadline.

Del. Donald Elliott’s Office:
Room 311, House Office Building
6 Bladen Street
Annapolis, MD 21401

Any questions may be directed to Delegate Elliot’s Legislative Aide, Alex Choi at 410/841-3118.

For Those Unable to Testify, We Urge You to Contact Members of the Environmental Matters Committee (Contact Info Below) Immediately to Request Support for H.B. 562
· H.B. 562 would save money, conserve resources and bring Maryland in line with other states that have moved to a single plate requirement.

· H.B. 562 would protect the aesthetic contours of collector cars and relieve vehicle owners of the burden of having to create mounting holes on some original bumpers.

DON’T DELAY! Please contact members of the Maryland House Environmental Matters Committee immediately by phone or e-mail to request their support for H.B. 562.

Please e-mail a copy of your letter to Steve McDonald at stevem@sema.org. Also, please forward this Alert to your fellow car enthusiasts. Urge them to join the SAN and help defend the hobby! Thank you for your assistance.

When talking to the sponsors please ask them for enough items to fill 75 goodie bags. i know our flyer says to the first 50, but i want to make sure everyone that works at our show gets a bag/dash plaque.

Jason, as you or anyone else gets sponsors to sign for the show, could you please ask your contacts to provide you with a high resolution (if possible) copy of their logo so I can start accumulating these to drop in over the course of time. It will be so much easier than trying to gather all these in the 11th hour. If they don't have hi res, send what thy got. Pulling them off a website is not ideal and is low res.
you can email them to me.
