If I were you I wouldn't constrain my search for one with just low mileage. I would look for a good one with up to 30K on it. Ones that old that sit may have issues. I bought mine 2.5 years ago with just under 6K on it (it now has 25K but most of that was put on the first year). I think you'll find a good one with moderate miles a lot more readily, especially if you are impatient.

How much are you looking to spend? Are you OK with the 2 tone gray / slate interior? How far do you want to travel? Here's one that looks pretty nice, but needs tires. Likely able to deal on this.

And golly-wow !!! it even has that much sought after, but seldom found "weather band radio". ( the picture shows a non-nav OEM radio )
One other thing I noticed : all the pictures were taken when it was HOT ( outside temp shows 84F and the A/C button is lit. That had to have been at least 4 or 5 months ago, so the dealer has been holding this car for a while, may be ready to REALLY deal )

CICCI wants a one or two paragraph update for COM. This has to be done and turned in by the 15th. I'll work on it this weekend and get it emailed to the COM board early next week. I'm going to talk about our show and planned spring events. If you want me to include anything you will have to email me or post it here before sunday.

also, i noticed a FB message from the Florida crossfire group. they talked about having cruises and events and pulling in 40 crossfires regularly. I have to admit im a little disappointed in us after reading that. we are the most visible regional CICCI group, and yet we only have six or seven truly active people. This year will be the test for COM. I feel as if we have to beg people to attend events and shows. We seem to have a huge turnout when there is food involved, but once there is any talk of being active members of the club, we are back down to our seven core group. Let me know if you feel that i am pushing this club too hard, let me know if it needs to be pushed more. I'm happy that the other groups are successful, but we seem to be very stagnate. all feedback is welcome positive or negative. at least i know you are reading and checking in on the forum. I dont want COM to turn into a group that has to meet once a week or month. but i do want us to be more active. Maybe we should make changes such as only active members are allowed to the events, i dont know, give me your thoughs.

Thanks for the update and thoughts. A few thoughts from me. First, you're doing great and you're not pushing too hard. Second, it's hard to get anyone to commit nowdays, so don't be discouraged. Third, this is the mid Atlantic, not Florida. Big state and lot's of Crossfires down there. MD is small and that is why a few months back I suggested we look to expand (not to change our name or focus) to reach out to our neighbors. I know we are doing that but it may be we have to make it more evidient. We have an influx of some new owners that I think is going to help and it may just take some time to build us to a stronger, larger more active group. But please, don't fret. We are an acitve and emerging group. My one bit of advise on the developmental side is that we should really look to focus more on quarterly key events. While I recognize attendance at most events is optional, we definitely shouldn't be pushing to attend too many. Travel time / distance, weekend obligations, family, etc. etc. that all complicate our ability to coordinate everyones time together is a reality. Our group is 6 or 7 core and growing. We are one type of car. Most groups are many makes, models and years with many members as a result of the breadth of their clubs. A presence of a few of us here and there as a club is great, but it's easier for them to get a few to our show than us to get a few of us (which is all we are) to all their shows. As a result, we should do what we can when we can but set our expectation for Club participation more realistically -- like once a quarter -- so people can commit and plan -- and our focus for full commmitment and involvement being our own show. So, my words of wisdom are......let's keep pushing but let's enjoy while we do it with expectations put in perspective that we may be few and have options to grow, but we are way more limited due to our "focus" on Crossfires and the realities that limit us and others involvement even more.......

Chill, and let's enjoy the ride and keep working hard.

Well boys and girls, today I landed a nice clean 2005 Coupe Limited, black on black, 51,000 miles. YES!
Very excited. Got it at a dealer in Manheim, Pa. Brought her home today.

On the subject of the club- I have been in motorcycle clubs in the past, this is my first car club. Don't give up Jason, it will get there. I will say this- I think folks join the club to share socially and have more local fun....not just car shows. I always enjoyed the bike clubs because we did get together once a month or every two months for meetings, but we sat and planned local driving events so we could enjoy our rides. That's what I think we are missing. People want to enjoy and show off their rides, but not everyone wants to spend the days looking at a parked car at a show. I'd like to see us set up some club events like a road trip to the eastern shore, or put together a poker run for the cars, or just pick cool places to eat and drink and hang out now and then. Building events like this brings people together for fun and sharing interests in what we all have in common...our Crossfires! That's my 2cents

Congrats. Pictures please. I also agree about more cruises and less sitting at shows.

Yep. That's the one. It seems to have been well taken care of. Do you by chance know who owned it before? I took it to my go-to guys to get the tires rebalanced because no own around here but this guy seems to be able to do it right. I also took it to Hillen Tire in Cockeysville to get the Maryland inspection and they said it looked real good underneath...needed an alignment so had that done. Drives much better. They mentioned I should change the steering stabilizer which is common so I ordered one today. Love the car. It has a slightly rough low idle sometimes...not all the time. It could be the gas, or because it has been sitting a while, but we will see.
BTW I was almost ready to fly to Fargo for the black one that is a little less money and miles. The sales guy there, Kevin, was just awesome to work with, sent me more photos, checked special things...but a few extra dollars for this one was worth not flying to Fargo and driving all the way back. But if anyone reading is looking....

Beware of Carfax. I feel compelled to share my recent experience. As I mentioned earlier that I walked away from a low mileage Crossfie a couple weeks ago because I did not feel comfortable with the exterior of the car. I had called my insurance company to give them the car info n case I did buy it. After letting them know I was walking away from it, they informed me that they were glad I did. Despite a clean carfax report, they could see that the car had 2 insurance payouts on that vehicle. One was for $5200 and the other was for $850. I was so glad I walked. None of this showed up on Carfax, and obviously the car had been through extensive collision work. Just be cautious

Ive got no problem doing cruises, shows, or drives, just set it up or let me know what you want, and i'll put it together. We only have 4 or 5 "official" car shows to go to this year, Carlisle, our show, Mopar palooza and the other few to bring people into our show. after we talk about the drive/show/whatever make sure it gets posted in the 2013 Md events thread, and reposted on CICCI's forum. When I was in Maryland Mopars they were talking about taking a back roads drive to the Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont MD.... Cozy Restaurant, Cozy Country Inn, Cozy Village, Camp David Museum - Historic Cozy, Thurmont MD We could do something like that. I can invite the classic owners (that are cool) and we all drive up there for lunch or something. Like i say, its your club, so you make it how you want it. My thought would be we keep it somewhat local for the first few drives. Until we know how many people are really interested in driving.

The club got this message through the FB page.

as you can guess I am keen on getting ppl on my website. any chance of getting any promo time on your fb page? I am on the hunt for SRT-6s to join our vin# survey and the whoiswho-gallery, hall of fame dragstrip. We also have products noone else sell, eg. OEM red / yellow seatbelts. We have a promo coming, when we have reached 50 users in the who is who, we will make a lottery and give away seatbelts at halfprice (or for free, depending on my cashflow ). Naturally i will put your fbpage on my website, will be a rotating banner. / let me know your thoughts on this, have a nice day, kind regards, Philip

Here is his website.

SRT-6.com

moslty just a site for SRT6 people to talk about SRT6s The items he sells doesnt seem to compete with what Andrew sells for CICCI. I told him I'd let the club decide if we promote his website or not. Let me know your thoughts.

This could include a nice detour drive through Catoctin Mountain Park
and Cunningham State Park which both offer curving mountain roads for a nice stretch. Could also stretch it to Gettysburg if you are feeling adventurous! I like.

Yeah, there are some great roads up there. Theres a new boutique winery in Detour MD we could visit as well.

Anyway, on the subject of cruises, the simpler the better in most cases. A day, a destination and consideration of some fun roads. Let's discuss further at our April meeting at Daves house.

there are some people that said they were going to the facebook page, so i'll add that count later. we want to make sure we have enough food.

Dave, do you want everyone to meet at the WaWa located at, 3530 Conowingo Road
Street, MD 21154, prior to 11am, or just have people come to your house?

I think we are going to use our I-95N rest stop to meet up prior to the drive to Street.
