UPS brought the nanoskin and holder from AMAZON yesterday.
Tried it out on the trunk and hood of the black 2002 Concorde Limited.
Talk about looking in a mirror !!!!!
I will apply diligently to the red roadster today.
( I used Meguire's Ultra Detail Spray as the lubricant )

I ordered the same oil, price and location. Haven't found a better deal anywhere else. Now I wait to see if online order receipt is acceptable for the rebate.

Replaced the air filters and cleaned out the boxes.

Used a shampooing upholstery vacuum on the carpet. Still pulling out dirt after vacuuming then using a spray carpet cleaner and now this step. Tried this after getting some new wand ends for the home spot cleaner.

Replaced fuse 31 and my glove box light and 12v Outlet both work. Amazing because the cigarette lighter socket looks broken.

Lubed some hinges with Wurth HHS-K

When I cleaned my mats, I took them out and washed them in the laundry sink after letting them soak. It was amazing how much dirt was in them and they looked like new when they dried.

I continued my detailing effort for CAA-08 this morning. Used the clay bar on both doors & both front quarter panels. Than applied the polish/wax to these areas. Only sections left are the hood & front end.

I used my spot lifter and walked it around he mats thinking that would do the job. But when I picked up the mats dirty water came out. So I sprayed them with the hose until the water was clear. I suspect I will need multiple attempts with the carpet.

So which Nanoskin sponge are you using? Fine Grade? Product looks interesting to me.

I use Zymol Cleaner/Wax after the clay bar. Been using the product for years with excellent results. Car always looks great when I'm finished. Car is definitely a "head-turner" but it still is a pleasurable vehicle for us so taking it to an Amelia Island Concours isn't on the calendar!

Completed 100k fluid changes on manual transmission, brakes, power steering and differential.
Also completed eurocharged engine tune and took a test drive. Noticeable improvement in shift changes thanks to fluid change and I can feel the increased get up and up from the
eurotune.
Next up for this month is cabin filter replacement and clean out. Then Mobil1 oil change, oil can thingy change and trying to find affordable place to fix some curb rash or do it myself.
Not real fast but getting it done well.

I just hate those rocker panels. I do them about once every other year.

That is a tedious job, I did a number one job on them some years ago when I took them off to make it easier for my self. I broke just about every other clip that holds them down.
They had a lot of tar on them, they looked new when they went back on, they probably look just as bad again.

I've been pretty fortunate in that my rocker panels really haven't gotten covered up with road tar and/or any debris. So cleaning these really hasn't been a big deal for me. I do these usually every spring/early summer timeframe.

Yeah - I just don't bend as much as I used to! So I have to lay down on my side & apply the polish, then wipe it off once it glazes over. I use a microfiber towel to remove the initial glazing and then use chees-cloth to buff to a final sheen.

Keep in mind, the 2007 only has 18k on the ODO. So it really hasn't been exposed to a lot of road tar/debris. And like the headlights, I've kept the rocker panels polished from Day 1 so cleaning them is pretty easy. Headlights have never glazed over, either.

Did you cut that out where the engine can breath or is it just cosmetic. (Where the streks were.)

Strictly cosmetic for now. Have to get used to the look, if I decide to stick with it, I may make it functional.

I replaced the steering stabilize on Maybelline. What a difference. No more ultra light twitchy feeling to the steering.
Between the stabilizer and the new front tires she drives like a dream
