Default AC blower stopping and starting

Last year and this year the AC seems hesitant, when you turn it on it may or may not start blowing air immediately. It may also stop then start again. It is going at the speed selected and I can change the fan speed no problem.
My question is does the AC start at once when selected or is there a second or so before it starts?
I think this may be the problem that CL70 addressed in his post (CLICK) about the two circuit boards not making contact properly with one another.
I kick myself because I took it out a few months ago and decided it had a tight connection between the two.
The moral here is to do any fix before it possibly causes problems.

I believe you're experiencing the problem CL770 fixed with his DIY Climate Control Fan Speed Repair. The conditions you are describing are exactly the conditions I am experiencing on my 2007 Coupe. It's on my list of things to do before I take the drive to Detroit for the Woodward Dream Cruise in August.

I did the same thing Dave, mine looked OK to me also.
I hesitate to do it again because of the nightmare of aligning those 2 square plastic shafts on re-assembly.

I had my radio/CD bezel out already so I took out the control. I did not find that the plug would go in much farther by filing a groove as outlined in step #1.
I filed of the little button that keeps the board inside the housing.
I will epoxy the two boards together, if it will make any difference we will have to wait and see, fingers crossed. 🤞

Why do you care? Does it EVER get above 70F up there, Dave?

It had better not as the house starts melting above 32F. Then you are at the mercy of the polar bears.
Climate change really worries us as the sled dogs will not be able to pull through the mud.

Hi, you don't need to remove the temperature wheels or the control ***** to separate the unit from the housing. Just get a couple of small flat screwdrivers to hold the tabs back and pull it out of the housing.

I reached out to CL770 about having to remove the temp wheels & control ***** to disassemble the HVAC Control Module. The pictures he included in his original post showed these still attached. I received the feedback above.

Epoxy added to the boards, and the control reassembled. The ***** do not have to be removed but you must keep the ***** in the same position as when you took it apart as the square shafts on the control must fit in the square holes of the shafts that remain in the dash.
Now to assemble and test, aligning the holes as ala_xfire said it is a beech, it took me 10 minutes last time.
Update
It took me two minutes this time, I got lucky.
I can select any fan speed and vent position I want and there seems to be no delay. The test may come when the car is hot inside until then I can say the problem is solved, thanks to CL770.
Edit
The AC worked fine when the car was hot inside, the problem was solved it would appear.
