Default ecu part number

i have a 2005 coupe limited. i want to buy an electronic control module (ecu) but need to know which part number is on mine. a possible supplier asked which of the 4 i want:
1121535379
5135419AA
5137676AA
5139129AA
how can i find out?
i dont think i need to disassemble whatever to learn this.
could be by using the VIN # there is a way?
thanks

Pulling and replacing the existing ECU should take 15 min the info (part number) is on the sticker.

Do you have a way of reprogramming the used ECU? It’s not going to work unless you can have it reprogrammed to your VIN

If you purchase a complete set of electronics from a donor and change all , it will work.
ECU
SKREEM
Keys
ignition
BCM

buy a used ECU, without the ability to program it and it will sit on your bench, Forever

i understand your advice. am investigating which ways are feasible to replace the skreem in case of failure, and 1 of them is this:
https://www.ecudecode.co.uk/02612083...ypass-Service/
for that, i need to send 1 of these units, hence my interest of getting all that i need.
thats all.

Isn't this the company that someone contacted with a "dead" SKREEM and they said they could only do it BEFORE the SKREEM failed?
That means someone with a disabled car is out of luck - and one of us WITH a WORKING car can send out stuff in - but if they ruin the ECU in the process, they are not liable.

Seems like we've been down this path before - but if I am WRONG, and I often AM, then someone with a disabled car should send their stuff to them and see how it goes.
WHat do you have to lose if it DOESN"T work? YOur car is already sidelined.

thank you very much, dear sir. interesting comments, as always. so much to learn from people like you.
but hearing this, i would not pursue this way...until some1 has sent theirs, be in good shape just to have a spare, or because was dead and they fixed it and can tell his experience.
perhaps could be convenient that the guy at the other thread hears this?

now, with this considered, perhaps getting a package of the components that integrate the skreem system from a wrecked xf could be better advise?
if so, which are the essential parts? Immobiliser, ecu, key, whatelse?
thanks
got another set of names of components: skreem, bcm, pcm, ecu, immobilizer controller
and still would like to learn which are part of the whole system.

at this thread there is a pic (1st at left) that shows: 1-a key, 2- a piece where the key fits; 3-a module, and 4-the piece where the key fits at the door.
1st, i would appreciate if some1 tells me the correct name for each 1.
(i think i got it:the 4 "interlinked" parts: ECU, SKREEM, transponder ring, key/fob/chip)
then, i guess you need to get a package that includes all of them in order to install them.
and then dont need to program them.
any contribution that brings any light on the issue will be highly appreciated.

The skreem, ecu and key as set from one crossfire is enought. But look that the ecu has the same part number as yours. If not you can get severall errors if you have an manual shiftet and buy an set from an automatic transmisssion the car would not start because the p or n signal from the automatic transmission would missing.
You can copy the needed keys from the skreem out of the new ecu in your old so that the car starts with the new skreem and your old ecu, I had make this several times.

great. now to hunt for a set, and when/if found,-if no overly expensive-get it and learn how to have it ready.
