Default NOS system

Has anyone installed a Nitrous system in their Crossfire? Is anyone aware of a Nitrous system setup for the Crossfire?

wow... that line you just posted just made my head turn into many different words all at once...

Rice... Uncle Ben... Squirrels... James... all these things flashing through my head! ... rice... Honda Civics... ahhh Z24's with spoilers... a ultralight air vehicle missing one wing... a asian kid playing play station... rice...

okay... sorry im back... that strange strange ... strange dream...

Any engine can have "NOS" hooked up... a F'ing PT Cruiser can do it...

Are you a) racing this vehicle on a legal strip ... b) wanting to destroy your car? c) Just enjoy taking a beautiful piece of art and making it degraded into the same class as all street racing hondas....

I'm sorry for taking this to offense ... but there has been other talks about this on the site.. if you searched you could find them... I just dislike the idea of NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSS making a car so f'ing good... its stupid... take the few grand your gonna drop on the tank and system and get it bored out to the 3.8l by Renntech...

I see my "Uncle Ben's" (american rice) comment got stuck in your head!!!!

It's about time it caught on. I just may go down in history for inventing that.

I bet we see one all done in the "Uncle Ben's" fashion pretty soon just like your picture..l

Then I bet we will see one in "Pimp" fashion. It will have blacked out windows 20" spinner rims, hydralics and tons of speakers and LCD's..

LOL,

-marc

p.s. Do you think you can photoshop a Pimped version?

There's a good chance *I* won't see it. I'm considering myself lucky my screen saver kicked in while I was looking for a spoon to gouge my eyes out with after seeing that picture of Boba's again.

Next time I may not be so lucky.

Arent underbody neon lights considered "rice" too? Come on...those lights belong to the 16 year olds with civics...not a crossfire.
But back to the topic, NOS (nitrous oxide system) is not rice. Now people calling every nitrous brand "NOS" is just annoying. But any nitrous system is one of the best bang for the buck speed modifications you can do to a car, if used properly. Nitrous oxide is a great use for the drag strip. I'm not a fan of street racing, so I'd only suggest getting any kind of nitrous oxide system for some type of track use. Prices differ a lot for different brands, but expect to pay close to $1000. A few grand for a nitrous system is just plain stupid.

Run nitrous and you'll toast the piston rings in a hurry at the least. At the most, you'll throw a rod, kill a bearing, crack a piston, the list goes on.

Friend of mine had a 75 shot on his integra type r. Very rare motor worth several thousand dollars. Everyone told him not to spray it. I have had 4 years of tuning experience with air / fuel trims. I monitored knock, fuel, exhaust temps, etc. Got it tuned out for a "safe range". That motor lasted maybe a year.

He developed a tick, which fastly turned into lower oil pressure, and a bad knock by the end of the week. He had to pull the motor, I think he went 20 over on the piston walls and had to go with forged internals as the factory pistons wouldn't compensate for the new clearance due to the scoring on the walls.

You want to spray something? Go buy a junk honda and give it a 200 shot. It should be fun for a few passes. Otherwise don't bother.

STFU U F'N N00b....

Read more of my articles and you'll learn those lights never went on the car... and wow .. I never thougt someone could be as stupid as you thinking NOS is okay to throw threw an engine... you really have the intelligence of a mouse... go put NOS through your 98 Intrigue so we dont have to worry about a Crossfire lossing face in the automobile market... btw ... think of two seconds before you just agree with someone n00b who never posted here before asking about NOS.... think our engine can really handle nitrous hooked up with its compression already as high as it is? ... it cant even handle a supercharger or turbo feed ... how it is supposed to handle a extremely combusionable fuel.... 98intrigue = noob

how about you go put on an AEM cold air intake and a OBX exhaust... f'ing ricer...

Wow BobaFettm,
That was the largest display of flagrant ignorance I've seen in a very long time. I have been part of the Internet community for a very long time now, and I've seen a lot of flames in some very unsavory locations. However, I wouldnt suspect such detestable speech from a forum such as this. I'm aware that your colorful acronyms are in common usage in much less respectable communities (mostly those that are comprised of 10 year olds), but I expect a higher level of respect and camaraderie among these members. I know that you rag on James Sonne all the time, but I have NEVER seen him resort to such low and ugly tactics to personally attack somebody. Please, even if provoked (however slightly), take the upper road and let it be. This will help produce a community that can grow, not degenerate. Thanks.

OK, I strongly believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but please...can we keep the racial stereotypes to ourselves. I'm Chinese and find what you guys are saying to be somewhat offensive.

So what if this guy wants to put NOS in his car...IT'S HIS CAR! If it makes him happy then so be it, there's no need to knock a guy for wanting to fix up his car.

Please dont turn this forum into one of those where people start crapping on one another just becuase there's a difference of opinion. BobFettm, you can very easily restate your comments in a constructive manner so as to no **** off other people such as myself. I own a crossfire, I'm Asian, I have clear sidemarkers, I have rims, does that make me ricer...WHO ****** cares! I enjoy my car and so should everyone else without having to get ripped on by ignorant dingleberrys...

This thread is exactly why I rarely post...cus it's always the same people posting their 'better than thou' opinions

PEACE!

Oh, and that stupid lil cartoon in the bottom corner...that **** is definitely not cool...dayam sometimes y'all can be so damn oblivious...check yourselves please!

BobbaFett, you thought about putting underbody lights on your Crossfire. If I recall correctly you even purchased the lights, but couldn't find a mounting spot for them.

Maybe this guy is just thinking about spraying some nitrous oxide. I doubt he'll even buy a kit (I don't think one is even being produced).

Don't hate yourself so much, bobba.

真抱歉让他打扰你。(我学习了汉语一年。)

Default lowering springs

Bobbafettm,

I'd be wary of who you call a ricer...you might want to look at the mirror. Don't you have a thread started in this forum asking about eibach springs? It doesn't get any 'ricer' than that bro...

I'm locking this thread.

The Crossfire community is a step above the rest of those other CAR Forums. If you wish to bash, please do it elsehwere.

We have had few issues on this board and I think we should keep it that way.

If you have a problem with me locking the thread, PM me and we can discuss it further.

Thank you -
