Default Traction Control & Spoiler

Hi all, 04 Coupe V6 w/6 speed standerd transmission. Nice and tight. I have been driving it gentely for a year now with out any serious issues but somthing unusual happened a couple of days ago and then again this morning. I was crusing about 45mph in a little traffic and the Traction Control engaged for just a second, I felt a tiny tug from the drive train, the dashboard indicator light flashedand the change in momemton illuminated the ESP & ABS warning lights. Now the kicker; at the same time that the Traction Control applies it self the spoiler flips up! a couple of miles later the speedometer dropped to 0.

Driving operations otherwise ok, I went on to work and everything quickly returned to normal on the way home. I have driven this car about 18k miles so far and am really enjoying this car and would sure like to get this lined out.

99k miles. I suspect bearings but whats with the spoiler? Speedometer? I'll keep you posted. Mike

If there's any funky electrical issues the battery is usually the culprit.

Yup, I vote battery as well.

Clean the terminals, check the condition of the battery cable at the end that connects to the chassis and run to Autozone or NAPA or somewhere and get a battery.

If you still have the white Varta battery, then you are way overdue for replacement. Same thing happened to me on my 05 Limited. New battery fixed all.

If in Europe, The Varta Silver E44
In the US, the AutoCraft Gold Group Size 48 @ Advance Auto (the US version of the Varta)

Gary swears by his interstate battery - if you search "battery" here, you'll find several threads and opinions.

Anyway, I"m at the DRAGON, back to the fun!
