I can't figure it out
I see power going to the relay from a splice which is hot all the time. If the relay was stuck then it would keep drawing power. If not that relay some other relay could be stuck.
I am wondering if the relay for the fuel pump has stuck, when you turn the ignition key do you hear the fuel pump stop after a while, say 5 seconds at the most?

He's the one that has been working on my car, but he's not available right now. He's puzzled about the battery draining too. He suggested the next step was to replace the RCM, and since I have a spare I bought, I just finished replacing it. Now it's just a wait and see if the problem goes away.
Cars do not turn over with a flat battery either.
I am looking at two problems and both are because of the RCM.
Put in the 'new' old RCM and see what happens.

You missed my point.
You said the battery got drained somehow.
Even new batteries get drained from a continuous bad power leak.
See where I am going?

I get what you say. But when it first occurs the battery is fine, and the engine starts. But, it dies within 3-4 seconds, and then nothing. No turning of the engine, and all the lights and electronics work, just no clicking from the starter nor engine turning.
I said can you hear the fuel pump still running when the engine will not start?
Maybe I am just too old and confused.
Good luck with the latest RCM.

Well, it's been two weeks since I replaced the RCM with the spare I bought, and have had no issues. So, I guess I've must have had a bad RCM rebuild. Being proactive bit me in the a-s-s.
BIG question, what was the problem?
Was it the fuel pump running continuously?
The problem? A rebuilt RCM that probably has a bad new relay. Not sure which relay was bad.
