Transmission Control Modual Stuck
I teach Aircraft Structural Technology at a technical college and have the blessing of "live work" sessions in the automotive department.
When our 2005 SRT6 Roadster first started going into "limp" mode intermittently, then completely, I knew it was time to see Steve at the college. Steve is a long time Chrysler mechanic who now teaches with us.
The Forum suggested the code P0715 was an ISS inop / bad transmission conductor plate and Steve agreed, so we changed that as the likely cause. The code quickly came back and we saw that the Transmission Control Module was stuck, reading 88mph; connections all clean and corrosion free.
After several jokes about an exact speed of 88mph for the "Flux Capacitor" to kick in, we realized our next step was to go on line and find the TCM (part# A 0335451232) as Red Dog suggested. That's what we are doing tonight. We will let you know at the end of the week if that turns out to be the fix.
Till then, best regards and thanks for all the help,
PFO

One other thing I forgot to mention in our PM communications . . . check the transmission fluid level. Low fluid level will also cause the transmission to go into limp mode throwing that code! It is common for these transmissions to develop a leak at the transmission connector as the OEM O ring goes bad. ALL the original O rings will eventually deteriorate and start develop a transmission fluid leak there.
Yes Sir, the NAG sensor plug was leaking a few years ago and they got $500 out of me to fix that.
The kit for the conductor plate also had a new plug and seals, so those were changed again last Tuesday. Steve made sure the students measured the fluid lost during maintenance and replaced that with the same 3.5 quarts of new +4. Steve suggests having the level checked by the dealer when we're all done to be sure; they'll do that at no charge. (the no-dipstick-thing)
The TCM left Port Clinton, Oh. this morning; so maybe they'll have it in the car early next week.
Thanks again!

Got a 2005 SRT6 Transmission Control Module from The Crossfire Store in Port Clinton, Oh.
Took just 15 minutes to change it out and clear the code.
She runs like a scalded dog once again!!!

my car goes into Limp mode after about 5 miles i pull off to the side of the rd and I pull the battery terminals and it resets everything and it will let me drive another 5 miles before going into limp mode again. Prior to this issue on 3 or 4 different occasions my car wouldnt start when i turned the key and i would have to take the battery terminals off for about 30 seconds then place them back on and the car would start up just fine. That OCCURED MAYBE 3 OR 4 TIMES within a years time frame. Any ideas?

yes read the earlier post.. The conductor plate was replaced along with the tcm. Just check your fluid level first, they sell dipsticks on amazon for $18. Pull the codes to see what its telling you is wrong then go fromthere.
Where did you see the module was stuck at 88MPH, using the drb reader or with generic obd reader or something else?
